Personally, I was more interested in the poll (assuming same players polled, btw) that had Jared Allen as one of the 10 dirtiest players in the NFL.

My primary interest had to do with the fact that Jeremy Formo has not mentioned it at all. (As an example, lol) :thumbleft:

players who care more about Friday night than Sunday afternoon don't want to live in Green Bay.

Plus one.

"You are young, coming out of college and are about to earn money most people will only dream about"

Of course LA/New York etc. seems more desirable than Titletown.

Unless

You are a football fan who happens to play professionally.

Thanks Musccy. I did not find last week's mag yet. I may have given it away. And I did not have time to look online to see.

Ummm...SI is not where I get my poll results from. Its the dumbest thing ever. The fact that no player wants to go to GB from the younger players is simply the result of GB being bad. Its only worth playing in the bitter Wisconsin winters if you have a great team.

If you win, players will want to come here. IF their goal is to be on a winning team that is. If their goal is to party, then GB is not the best place to be.

Now......i think some of the reason why people come here more after a loss is to be with friends that are "suffering" the same as they are.
When we win, we don't need a shoulder to cry on.

Saw this in SI the other day found it funny to be honest. One thing to take into consideration is that they only polled 296 players in the league and there's more than 1700 in total. That's less than a fifth of the players. Also the fact that Green Bay is probably the only "town" to have a football team. I think many players, especially the flashy young ones, are interested in the life of a big city. Which in my opinion is a good thing, we don't need any troublemakers here.

That's a HUGE sampling of the population compared to 99.9% of most polls. I think the jury has spoken.

296 out of 1700 is a huge sampling? Really?

Green Bay will be and nearly always (last few decades) has been a place players don't want to go to, but once are here love it. Green Bay isn't flashy and doesn't do anything to get the attention of players. They let other factors speak for them. That's how it should be. If a player wants to go to a town for the night scene and things to do around town, there not the type of player you want on your FOOTBALL team.
