Played trumpet in high school. Was so mediocre at playing while marching, I ended up being drum major, where all I had to do was learn how to march in tempo backwards and in a straight line for a block or more. (Neither of which I can do anymore, by the way.)
Also played piano until early years of grad school. Great stress reliever, but never wanted to play it when anyone is around. Can't pick up tunes quick, sight read, etc.
Hope to learn someday: Electric guitar.
Wish I would have learned when younger and easier to learn: saxophone, especially tenor. In my opinion, no music would be cooler to be able to play than bop tenor.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
