At this point going to a 4-3 makes sense from a simple draft standpoint. A majority of the league runs the 3-4 now and true players for it have become scarce. Thus we get stuck with an endless amount of conversion projects.

And that's why I think we should just play both alignments.

If the offense can learn and install different schemes and packages, I don't see why the defense can't.

Mike Neal, Datone Jones, Mike Daniels, Clay Matthews, A.J. Hawk, Brad Jones, and Nick Perry possess the versatility to play at least two positions. Why not take advantage of their versatility?

I think Capers has a more agressive scheme in his early years with the Packers that he had to get away from simple because he didn't have the pass rushing linemen to get it done, but he did have run defenders to use and went to a less agressive scheme 3-4.

Now with Pickett, Jolly, Raji, Neal and Wilson all FAs Capers might not have the run defenders... but there is the potential he might have some pass rushers... go back to the more agressive scheme?

Jones, Daniels, Wothy/Boyd
Perry, Hawk, Jones, Matthews

It's hard projecting with only 4 DL signed for next year... ether way they need to get some beef.

And I know this is probably going to sound like a very bad idea, but I'm not sure Richardson is good enough in coverage for Safety. I kind of like the idea of possible seeing him some as a coverage ILB (maybe....) ...

Either way you have to fix Safety first before moving Richardson away from it.

I would say we should go with an aggressive 4-3. We have the bodies. Matthews and Perry both could play 4-3 LB along with Hawk.

If I'm not mistaken, Perry's (celebration) sack today was with his hand on the ground.

But yeah the guy has been very injury prone. Everybody has. When I was trying to make a mock 4-3 lineup, I kept forgetting a bunch of people. There's depth. It's just that all the depth died.
