The thinking that yards mean nothing and points are so accurate is wrong. Points can be garbage just as much as yards.

When you take the yards at face value, that's foolish, same thing goes with points.

There's no recipe for this, yet we all continue to pretend like we know of one.

Yards I feel are far more misleading than points. As mentioned above, a good special teams will net less yards for offense, but more yards for defense and a poor special teams could net more yards for offense and less for defense. Where do you draw the line?

This is another one of those things that there's so many variables in it, it's not worth going in depth arguing about. It just amazes me how some can be so pro points or so pro yards as if there's some magic to them.

We gained what, 200 yards against the Vikings in the 1st quarter.....yet we only had 7 points to show for it.
Yards are nice, but the ONLY thing that matters is points scored.
