Who dissents more strongly than I do? That has everything to do with this issue.

The issue has little to do with the fact that you are dissenting... and a lot more to do with how you handle yourself.

Okay. If you insist. I'm an excellent nuanced debater and you think the arguments I make change?

Pick your favorite example. Would love to learn of what you're speaking to.

I never said you'd be blocked or wpr! Your "research" is flawed as is your reading comprehension.

You're not articulate either: A fact is something that can be proven true or false. This is pseudo-intellectual argument. A coach having ten job offers is a fact; a coach being a hot commodity is not a fact because it cant be proven true or false. One may see a college LB coach as "hot" just for getting a call from Packers.

Let me add another: your argument is duplicitous. You demand "proof" from others [and Lovie's Smith comment is extremely strong evidence to that end]; but you provide no proof to support your contention that Lovie is outright lying. Again, if you want proof...YOU FIRST!

We're still laughing over here about your "analysis" in the thread where you say being a GM is easy, because your eyeball test is so reliable. I haven't responded to that yet, because we sent some of your Ted is an idiot posts to 1265 along with your "articulate" and "researched" Ted didn't go to no GM school and eyeball test stuff. We're trying to gather PROOF as to the efficacy of your statements. We've asked among other things, using your comments, why GB spends so much on a scouting department. Seems unnecessary given your "articulate research." When we hear back we'll respond.

Heck, it can be expected, if 1265 can fire the entire scouting staff and hire you for 7.85/hr, then I can report that you are a rising star and a hot commodity. Oh and if GB offers you a job, I bet other franchises will too. Someone may even go as high as 7.99/hr for your services.

The proof offered was common sense multiple times, I might add. You are trying to flip this...Again. You made the statement he was hot. Burden of proof on you...Not me or wpr.

Lovie's comment is no proof that he was a hot commodity. Why do you constantly insist this? Just take the loss and move on.

What a surprise there is more demeaning from you? Shocked. When you're beaten you lash out. You've been lashing a lot lately.

Take this thread. Either McGarigle was a hot commodity or he wasn't. It's not a view it's a fact one way or the other.

We can debate TT, Mike McCarthy and other things all day. That's fun and more vague.

Are you going to answer the question at hand? You seem to stick to me and not the subject.

Here's Lovie on the hire of Garrick McGee as his OC:

Smith called McGee "one of the top offensive coaches in the nation."

Meanwhile, Bobby Petrino said of McGee as he was leaving him to join Lovie that "he understood and wished him well".

Per Barfarn, that would mean McGee was a hot commodity per Lovie because of his praise and not a hot commodity due to Petrino's muted response.

I know McGee too, it been a while, he was a genius then, not just in football, the guy is very intelligent and I’d bet he’s grown even more. Trashing a person in their profession that you know NOTHING about, and citing no basis, is amoral argument and could constitute defamation per se [nono] if your words carried any weight. 😂

I suspect you know McGee is Black and I really hope your errant opinion of McGee was not formed solely on that. Without providing any info to the contrary you are saying Lovie ‘s positive assessment of McGee’s offensive mind is false on its face…a face that is Black. [nono]

What Smith said is not only very NORMAL talk of an incoming coach; but concerning McGee it is 100% true. And quite irrelevant.

FOCUS: The issue is whether Smith’s assessment coaches moving out the door is coach-speak.

If over effusive praise of a coach moving on is good for the program; then Smith would issue effusive praise about every single coach no longer working for him. Right? I mean Duh, if it good for the program you do it every time, don’t ya? [whead] Ya know, like the OC that McGee replaced, did Lovie say he was a rising star? Here’s a list of Illinois coaches that Lovie has let go:

Ryan Cubit
A.J. Ricker
Al Seamonson
Jeff Hecklinski
Mike Bellamy
Nathan Scheelhaase

Not a single one described as a “rising star!” Why? Because Lovie reserves such comments for only when they are the truth. McGarigle is a freaking rising star. Did you hear what Kraft whispered to Belicheck during the Lombardi presentation? “Psst, Bill, I might replace you with rising start McGarigle next year.” [bdance]

PS: Research can be agenda driven and selectively cherry-picked to obfuscate truth. Too bad you failed to research and or be able to understand Petrino and McGee's long standing relationship, the timing of McGee jumping ship, and Petrino's temper.[nono]

Why you brought race into this is beyond my comprehension?

You made a ridiculous statement about McGarigle and offered Lovie's quote as proof.

So, I used Lovie's quote on McGee to say that in Barfarn world he must've been a hot commodity. I then used Petrino's lack of effusive praise to indicate, again, that in Barfarn world he must not have been hot posing a contradiction. Also, showing that Lovie gets a little liberal in his commentary further weakening your weak unsubstantiated basis for calling McGarigle a hot commodity. Pretty simple.

Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : NFL thought it would get more attention week preceding Super Bowl.
Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : Yes, the Pro Bowl. It was played Sunday before Super Bowl from 2010-2022

Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : From 2010 to 2022, it was played on the Sunday before the Super Bowl

Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : seems to me the 49ers should have traded Aiyuk when they had the chance
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : if the Eagles get it down to the 1, do they Tush Push or give it to Barkley?
TheKanataThrilla (10-Feb) : 49ers have a money problem if they want to sign their QB
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : Wait for real? Didn't he just get an extension two years ago?
Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : 49ers gonna trade Deebo. Interesting
TheKanataThrilla (10-Feb) : Replays always never seem to show the holdings
TheKanataThrilla (10-Feb) : Great throw by Hurts
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : Where Carter falls prey to bad off the field influences (to be clear, not saying he'd clip someone though)
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : Had Carter not gone to Philly were they already had a lot of old college friends, he ends up in a similar spot to Aaron Hernandez
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : I think some of his coaches told scouts to stay away
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : the street racing incident+conditioning and motivation problems
beast (10-Feb) : Then Carter was street racing, where the other car crashed and people died... and other teams were scared to pick Carter for some reason
beast (10-Feb) : I think the Saints traded up, giving their next year 1st to the Eagles, and then they sucked and Eagles got the 10th overall pick
packerfanoutwest (10-Feb) : wtf Barkley?
TheKanataThrilla (10-Feb) : Getting Carter and Nolan Smith in the first round in 2023 was pretty darn good
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : for some reason i'm thinking of a draft where the Eagles where in the mid 20s and a top player fell all the way to them
TheKanataThrilla (10-Feb) : I think so. I would need to look it up. Think it may have been Carolina's pick.
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : i'm not sure who i'm thinking of now
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : oh fuck me i messed that up
Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : Jordan Davis was 13th overall
Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : Carter was 9th overall
Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : Eagles had 15th and 10th selections, moved to 13 and 9 to get Davis and Carter back to back
Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : Eagles traded up for Carter, didn't they?
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : Obviously he was a huge risk but getting a top 5 talent on the dline in the mid 20s is fortuitous
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : Jalen Carter falling into their lap certainly helps
TheKanataThrilla (10-Feb) : And we could only wish to have this type of D
TheKanataThrilla (10-Feb) : It's not like Philly has had low draft picks, but has managed to get themselves a top notch pass rush. We spend so much draft capital of D
packerfanoutwest (10-Feb) : another crap halftime show
TheKanataThrilla (10-Feb) : I think it is over, but then I think of Atlanta and want Philly to go in with the same intensity in the second half
