I've seen Howard Green mentioned a few times here, you guys realize he's not currently on the Packers roster right? With the FA signings, draft picks and UDFAs I'm not sure how likely it is that Green will re-sign.

Worthy
Hargrove
Muir
Wynn
Wilson
Guy
Neal
Jones
Daniels
Colling(UDFA)
Vanderlin(UDFA, though maybe an OLB prospect?)

That's 12-13 players for 6-7 spots.

Green doesn't return. That is a lock. He has been with 11 teams since 2002. He puts out just enough effort to stick around for about a year then lapses into his poor habits. the team gets tired of it and releases him. I don't think it was an accident that 2011 was one of his worse years performance wise especially when you factor in that he was on the field for all 16 games for the only time in his career. Yeah that's pretty much how I feel, too fat and old at this point in his career. I don't see him returning outside of an in-season pickup because of injury.

That said, the players currently on the roster have me excited. I haven't seen this much depth and potential at the position in a while.

Two starters in Raji, Picket
Two potential starters or at worst solid rotational players in Worthy, Hargrove
A few guys who are solid depth players, guys you would be happy to have as the #5-7 DL but not starting like Muir, Wynn and Wilson
And a handful of unknown players, one or two of which could turn out to be a gem.

My depth chart as of today would probably look like:

1. Raji
2. Picket
3. Worthy
4. Hargove
5. Daniels
6. Best of Wynn/Wilson/Muir
7. A wildcard like Guy or one of the UDFAs(if they keep 7)

I'm hope they have enough talent on the Dline this year to cut Neal outright, too many injuries and now the steroids thing or whatever it was, cut him loose and give the roster spot to someone who's going to show up and play.

With Hargrove out for 8 games, it is hard to count him in the rotation.

Neal's days are not numbered. He just has less time to prove himself. Because numbered would imply on his way out the door no matter what. He has only a short window of opportunity to prove that he can be productive, healthy and out of trouble. Because his first 2 were a waste and he is starting this one behind 4 games.

Neals days are not any more numbered than any one else's. Everyone has to prove their worth every year. If they can't do the job, they will get replaced in preseason with someone who can do the job.

Yeah, Green is out. Not sure what I was thinking there, other than nostalgia... They gave his number #95 away to Hargrove. Due to the nature of the suspension, that might be too long for GB to wait on Hargrove.

Man, they can't GIVE this #95 away!

Aaron Rodgers injuries are overblown. Keep in mind, he played an entire 2nd half of football against the Patriots with a broken bone in his foot. The second time he landed on IR the coaches AND Rodgers both said he could have played IF he was the starter the next week.

I'm down with tossing in the towel on Mike Neal, not because of his injuries in his brief (entering 3rd year) career, is the suspension. I'm down with three years before saying CUT TIES. But once you start failing the tinkle tests... I lose patience quicker, especially if you can't finish the season and when you're on the field make no impact.

As Zero has said over and over and over again, GB didn't "let Jenkins "go". They didn't throw a sh!t load of money at him 2 years before his contract was up and he got a little grumpy over it. GB actually offered him more than Phillie did.

Comparing Neal to Rodgers and Jenkins is pretty silly.
