Since going to the 3-4 the Packers have normally kept 6 DL. That being said they're been playing a lot 2 DL sets and at times the low number of DL has gotten them in trouble and even once had to play a full game with only 3 DL.

BUT the coaches have said they're going to play more 3 DL sets which probably means they're gonna keep 7 ... maybe 8 IF the 8th guy has very good talent and/or potential but my guess is 7.

If healthy, Raji, Pickett, Worthy are the locks and Daniels has a good chance of making based off potential. Leaving 3 spots open for the rest of the group.

A lot of people have been naming Hargrove and Muir but I don't think they're locks, as last year they didn't even the 53 man roster on the teams they were in training camp with last year. Hargrove was with the Eagles (and said he learn sometimes from Jenkins) but the Eagles cut him before the season and he went to play for the Seahawks. Muir was in training camp with the Rams who cut him, then went back to the Colts.

So 3 spots out of Guy, Hargrove, Neal, Wilson, Wynn, Jones, Muir...

Last year Neal was playing ahead of Wilson, Wynn and Jones. So I think Neal will make it...

My guess is

Raji, Pickett, Worthy, Daniels, Neal, Hargrove and another DE... I think Wilson was on the top of the rest... but Guy and Wynn have more potential than Wilson. So I'm gonna guess Guy since Wynn has been around a while already and hasn't lived up to his potential.

When did Justin Harrell ever get healthy? Bad comparison.

maybe i am missing it. I don't see anyone who says they are locks to make the team. A number of people have speculated who is going to make the team. Hargrove is more likely to make it than Muir. Muir has a chance. his biggest competition is probably Guy.

Bottom line is there's gonna be competition and depth. That's what I like to see.

I'm hoping Guy will surprise and really have an impact this year. Of course, I always hope Packer players do well. But for some reason I liked this Guy from the time Ted Thompson picked him.

The only locks I see are Raji, Pickett and the newly drafted Worthy and Daniels.

I do think Hargrove leads the way with regards to the rest. He's 28, seems to have his head on right, and seems motivated to win with GB - regardless of a possible suspension. The others are just going to have to battle for the remaining 1 or 2 spots.

Being an ASU alumni, I'd love to see Lawrence Guy come out of nowhere, make the final 53, contribute in a big way, and show us why Ted drafted him last year. My big concern is NT, and giving Raji and Pickett the breaks they need to stay on it. I thought Raji took way too many snaps these past two seasons. That backup NT could be a battle between Howard Green and Daniel Muir.

As for Neal, yeah, he's going to be hard pressed to make the final roster. I don't want him hanging around, taking up a valuable roster spot if he's not going to contribute.

Zero, did you say earlier, in another thread, you heard Capers or McCarthy mention Worthy would play nose?

I'm hoping enough of the DEs show they can play well so that Pickett and Raji can split time a NT.

I've seen Howard Green mentioned a few times here, you guys realize he's not currently on the Packers roster right? With the FA signings, draft picks and UDFAs I'm not sure how likely it is that Green will re-sign.

Raji
Picket
Worthy
Hargrove
Muir
Wynn
Wilson
Guy
Neal
Jones
Daniels
Colling(UDFA)
Vanderlin(UDFA, though maybe an OLB prospect?)

That's 12-13 players for 6-7 spots.
