I can't stand, unnecessary, commas.

But thank you for your continued statistical deliveries. ;)

Funny. I love seeing trends in football and how stats can predict outcomes. Superior D is often a sign of winning. But even above superior D - passer rating differential.

If one would be so kind (I did it for D rankings for SB champions and that took hours so I don't want to do it again for this stat), I would love to see passer rating differential for the SB winners. All of them.

I think it's more about showing how erudite we are than how astute we happen to be. [grin1]

Aaron Rodgers (122.5) has a passer rating 20 points higher than every QB except Tom Brady(104.8). Only the next 8 QBs have a passer rating within 30 points.

Green Bay's D is #10 in passer rating, which is respectable given the TDs and Yards they have given up. They currently have more interceptions that TDs scored against however, which helps a lot.

They lead the league in points scored per game(32.8) and are tied with Detroit for #7 place (19) for points given up per game.

Pretty good winning formula, have a much better QB than everyone else, and score a significant amount of points more. I don't know where to find the stat but I bet they are in the top 3(with Detroit as well) when it comes to points differential too.

(Being a certified pedant by trade, I will honor my profession by ignoring all the pedantry (by others) in this thread.)

Re: the OP, though: given the way everyone salivates over Brady, I was sort of surprised to see New England that far down the list. Yes, I know that NE has an awful defense, but the Packer defense hasn't been consistently that good either.

(And, yes, I know there is probably an excess comma in the opening paragraph. If you're good enough, you get to break the rules. (Orwell, 1946, rule 6).)
