plainly and simply, the union has said we will take pay cuts, pay our pension, and pay our insurance, but we still want to bargain a contract. Watch the news, it has been reported for days now.

Collective bargaining entails sitting down with management, and negotiating pay, retirement, insurance and grievance procedures through arbitration.

Which means an outside source will listen to both sides and decide a fair deal for both parties. It also means, the union has the ability to look at the states financial status to bargain a contract.

I just want to know how many people that hate the unions so much, were you ever part of a union?

did YOU EVER WRITE A GRIEVANCE AND go to union meetings?

I don't "hate" the unions.

I never have worked for a union, but I was on the opposing side in two plants, the management side.

Countless grievance hearings... and we tried to work through them fairly.

But a worker that had no business holding a job because of their effort, lasted far longer than they ever should have based on merit because the union had to protect them. They also failed to look at the big picture often that holding onto unproductive workers were actually putting more of their brothers and sisters that honestly put in a days work in a pinch because of the salary and productivity burdens that we placed on them because of the "turds".

When a Supervisor or we as management messed up and effected a productive worker.. I had no issue with working through the issue. But I would do that regardless of the union or not.

I guess it really depends on the situation and the management team, I know I took enough heat from my stance in working with the union verse fighting them tooth and nail on everything from the Board and Corner fourth floor office of the President.. but at the end of the day, I brought production up, cost down and generally had a solid relationship with the workforce at the Glass plant. The vinyl plant was being sold and the workers were being merged into the other plants.. the marching orders there were much different than running a productive plant, it was ramping down production, managing inventory to minimize loss and dealing with workers being displaced from their current positions.. 9 months of hating going to work, but we kept all but 3 workers out of 97. Just they whined about moving to one plant or another.

I dont hate them either..Just want to help pay for the benefits (that tax $ pay for) I shouldnt have to pay more for road construction or pick up someone esle's share

Would you want to pay someones grocery bill that is in front of you? Thats how I feel

I was VP of our local chapter and wrote up grievances..

Last one a guy got fired for failing drug test when he got hurt..But Dr said it could have been 12 hours prior..

We fell back on past practice of an employee losing a hand when he was LEGALLY drunk..The company didnt fire him but sent him to rehab

We just wanted the drug failed employee a chance at rehab

Our union wasnt very strong was more for pay raises and on time reviews.

nice vid, i'm gonna repost.
not a surprise to me. If anybody thinks i feel scott walker is doing this for the better of wisconsin and wants the state to get out of debt, you got to be crazy.

i said all along, walker is doing this to break the union, he could care less about this state. he will fail, and it will end his career.

According to this article , he's doing it with a TON of support. But you are right in that he's doing it to break the union. His career? I think it just started. Maybe not as WI's governor, but he's known now world-wide.

Apparently some guy posed as David Koch to get a phone conversation with Scott Walker. It sounds pretty real.

Check it out here .

You have to be kidding me...that just showed up on FOX NEWS?!?!?!?! Where the hell were the producers of the show? Did Keith Olbermann drug them and drag them out behind the studio? I can not believe that Fox just had a key contributor (especially considering the left-bashing opportunities he provides after his controversial split from NPR) rationally argue a topic and ultimately side with the left. Holy cats, the end of the world must be coming tomorrow, time to fulfill my bucket list!

Shep Smith's show is pretty fair. Actually, I find him to be one of the better anchors on TV.

beast (7h) : What is he supposed to say? He doesn't want players currently on the team?
Martha Careful (11h) : meh
Zero2Cool (15h) : Sounds like Walker and Wyatt will be with Packers for beyond 2026
Zero2Cool (15h) : It's so awesome.
Zero2Cool (15h) : new site fan shout post fast
wpr (18h) : Slow posting in Fan shout.
wpr (18h) : Only 4
wpr (18h) : Only 4
Zero2Cool (21h) : If only we had a topic to read about and discuss it. That's something new website must have!!!
dfosterf (22h) : Justice Musqueda over at Acme Packing put up an excellent synopsis of the Packers 1st round options this am
wpr (19-Apr) : 5 days
beast (18-Apr) : 6 days
wpr (17-Apr) : 7 days
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
