Yeah Buddy, but the problem is that he's been a serviceable safety starting for three years when all he should have ever been was a backup.

Not sure what you are trying to imply, Dakota. It's not as if his time as a starter he has been underwhelming - far from it.
His first year, he put up pro-bowl caliber numbers: 100+ tackles, 5 INTs, 3 FFs. He was pretty darn impressive in the playoffs, too.
Second year, like I said, is not indicative of his ability since he was plagued by injuries.
Last year: He has 49 tackles, 4 INTS, and 8 pass break-ups. He was not really a liability in coverage, either. Not spectacular, but solid.
I'm willing to concede that Bigby is an average starter - he can make plays here and there, but he can also be exposed. So yes, there is room to improve the position. But people calling for him to be replaced... I mean it's as if you people think he is Marquand Manuel 2.0. He simply is not. Either we are watching different games, or I am totally missing something.
I honestly don't have an issue with the fact that he has been our starting Safety for the past three years. He's done decently. But the pathetic depth after him.... I have a big issue with and yes that is all on Ted.
I still fail to see what is so terrible about Atari Bigby that people take issue with him. No one ever billed him as an all-pro. And he is far from being the problem that led us to give up huge passing yards to Favre, Big Ben, and Warner the past season. I fully expect him to enter Training Camp as the starter alongside Nick Collins. I'm fine with that - as long as we get some decent young depth at the position.
