I agree with Rock.
The draft is one of my favourite "Game Days" of the NFL season, and I do consider it as the 17th game of the season for The Packers and Raiders.
I was blessed to have attended the draft in New York, I was also blessed to be in Pittsburgh at the time of the draft and go to their draft party at the stadium.
The thing that pisses me off about this year is that there is THREE DAYS OF The Draft, and that is going to really take away from a draft party in NFL TEAM VENUES....
I guess the NFL feels it is all about T.V. Ratings now and not the Fan Experience.

RP, what's it like being at the draft?
I've always assumed it must be a pretty awful experience. At home you get to see Eisen, Mayock etc chatting away filling the time between picks, you get to hear their reactions at 'reaches' etc. On TV there are also reams of highlight footage of each pick after they're announced. At the draft itself, are you not spending hours watching an empty stage?
As for the thre day thing, it means I now have to take Froday off work and stay up crazy late Thursday and Friday night. But I assume for you guys in the US timezones it gives you a whole extra day to consume even more draft coverage. Personally I prefer the previous set up.
I hear split is likely to benefit teams picking high in round 2 or who have a lot of round 2 picks (Pats).
