Bottom Line: If we're down to our third string QB, we're not talking about playoffs, we're talking about a top five overall pick in the next draft.

If that were to happen, would those of you calling for playoffs or bust still be clamoring for Ted Thompson's head?

Well yes, if it's for any extended period of time. If you're out to a good start and your top two QBs go down for 3 weeks, your season isn't over... Even if they're out for four weeks and your emergency QB can squeeze out a win there may still be hope.

I am fine sticking with just two, especially now that we have Brohm on the PS.

I'm not a fan of spending a roster spot on a #3 FB and a #3 QB. You're bumping people with much more likelihood of helping the team.

Does anyone have examples of a team losing their top 2 QBs for awhile and then actually squeezing out some wins with their #3? I'm sure it has happened but I can't recall any teams.

The Rams did it a few years a go when Bulger and their #2 got hurt. They had Ryan Fitzpatrick who won 1 or 2 games. They were still terrible though lol.

Yeah we still have Brohm as part of the team. It would just be a case of getting through that game and activating him the following week.

But if we were down to Brohm (even if we were down to Flynn for an extended period I believe) we don't make the playoffs.

If Rodgers goes down the Packers are finished anyway. Unless it's for developmental reasons I can't see the point in carrying 3 QBs.

I'm not worried. The D will just shut out the other team and we will win 3-0 in OT. Where's the Green and Gold koolaid? :thumbleft:

Jeff Garcia is out there Teddy. GO get him already or AJ FEELY. Come on now we all know that we need a third QB. And Flynn has a shoulder problem and he can only hold the ball and not throw it. There is a reason he did not play in finale. Garcia or Feely. Choose already Teddy

Yes there was a reason. Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy wanted to see how Brohm would play if he had nearly the whole game. They already expected to cut him and they wanted to give him as much of an opportunity to redeem himself. He didn't.

Flynn did play, sort of, he held the ball for PAT and FB attempts. He could have played if needed. There was no need. He had nothing to prove. The game didn't mean anything in the standings and Flynn was going to be #2 at the end of the day no matter what else happened.

beast (21-Dec) : Well even if you weren't positive towards a guy, you wouldn't nessarily want to tell the media that (if they don't know about it)
Martha Careful (21-Dec) : I think MLF want Love to look past the end half issues, and feel good about his play. Our coaches generally keep a very positive tone.
beast (21-Dec) : I think a great running game will do that for most QBs
packerfanoutwest (21-Dec) : Coach Matt LaFleur has said quarterback Jordan Love is playing the best football of his career.

beast (20-Dec) : As of tonight, 3 way tie for 2nd in Pick'em, that battle is interesting!

Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Or if KC needs to win for the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Right now it looks like the only prime worthy games are Det-Minny and KC-Denver (if Denver can clinch a wild card spot)

Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : whiteout uniforms in general are pretty lame and weak. NFL greed at it's worst

packerfanoutwest (17-Dec) : yeah beast hates the Winter Warning Unies
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Okay I'm glad to know it's not just something happening to me lol
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Zero, did you copy the Packers uniforms from last night and white out the board?
beast (16-Dec) : Oh crap, is the board going to the Winter Warning Uniforms too?!? It's all white on white right now!
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : WR Odell Beckham Jr is officially a free agent after clearing waivers.
