I have seen alot of posters on here and actually seen a huge as thread where people are calling Jennings god.

Here is the question.

If Jennings leaves the Packers for more money and goes to a division rival will he still be a god or will he be an asshole and he betrayed the fans.

This should make for an interesting convo if people answer honestly.

I would still say best of luck to him and understand that money talks and gm's having your back is BS.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

If jennings leave VIA FA to the vikings, i will lose a lot of respect for him.

BUT, it has nowhere near the significance of favre doing it, anyone who would try to compare what favre has meant to the packers, to what jennings means is clearly dilusional.

I think the concept of the question is valid, the way it was presented is asking for an argument.

Jennings has only played here for a handful of years. If he leaves after his ROOKIE contract is up for the Vikings, Bears or even Cowboys, he is not betraying the fans. He's going where the money is and/or where he feels he can succeed the most.

Please, leave the Brett stuff out. This could have been easily asked "Would you feel betrayed if Jennings left the Packers for a rival?" without the attempted linking with Brett.

In football, as in any employment, I begrudge nobody for taking a better offer. It is the business side of this "game" we love.

How does that even compare the retirement, unretirement, tantrum throwing, signing with the Jets, another retirement (boy, screwed the Jets too!), another unretirement, and possibly signing with the Queens out of spite?

Truly, absolutely nothing in common with the scenario you present.

Well if he did it, he also wouldn't be coming out retirement for the SECOND time to join a division rival, thats were the Favre thing gets iffy. I was all about him wanting to come back last year, and I supported him with Jets, but if he goes to the Vikings then my respect level greatly diminishes and all of My Favre Jerseys will cease to exist.

If Jennings plays his heart out another year, and we don't give him what he wants contract wise, then he can feel free to sign somewhere else, will I be sad and disappointed? Yes definitely, will I feel bitter? no, its a business and I understand that. The Favre situation is an entirely different one however.

I'd root against him with all my might like Favre going to the Vikings. But here is the difference of this and Favre. I think Jennings has a lot of talent, and I think Brett has enough to get him past week 6 and that's about it.

Well i'm not trying to compare the 2 just got me thinking is all, I see all the jennings is god comments so i was just curious if it would still be the same if he was on the Bears or like i think could happen the Lions (his home team)

IMO even thou they say players shouldnt be associated with teams and you should look at them seperately from the team they play with. I feel that us as fans associate key players with our respective team.

We see jennings with a green and gold uniform he is a green bay packer. Many guys like myself included would feel a loss for the greenbay packers if he left. We would feel our team would be less then it was before.

So to answer your question ...

He would be a guy going after the almighty dollar - while ya it would suck and I might be a little po'ed but then again it's money and alot of it what are you doing to do ...

He's not going anywhere; Our best Offensive person we have (above arod too IMO) ... Ted Thompson would be wise to get him signed.

again I'm not worried about it

Sorry Zero i just wanted to put in there why i was thinking about it, i forgot everyone is on the Favre kick so if his name is mentioned it will be all about him.

There fixed it his name is gone :p

I just wanted to know what they would think of Jennings leaving for a rival if he would be god.
