I gotcha dhazer, but I think some people are looking for any reason to argue about that particular person and I'm just wanting to avoid that. sorry if I came off like a dickhead.

I stand by my original statement about Jennings leaving. Mark my words, he will be extended contractually. 🙂

No Problem Zero i caught the drift of what you were saying, so its gone 🙂

I have a bad feeling about Jennings, he says he don't want to talk contract during the year but yet we don't hear of anything right now. Or could Ted Thompson planning on not having a capped year which would screw Jennings where he couldn't be a free agent.

Like i said i have a bad feeling about things but i would like to see him signed fast and not have to take our chances.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

It ALL depends on how he acts. If he acts like a bitch, I will call him out as one. Honestly though, we're talking about Greg Jennings here. The state of Wisconsin hires him every year to piss on the statue at the top of the capital building to re-do the gold leafing. There is just no way he starts whining like a malcontent diva who isn't getting everything he wants.

If jennings leave VIA FA to the vikings, i will lose a lot of respect for him.

BUT, it has nowhere near the significance of favre doing it, anyone who would try to compare what favre has meant to the packers, to what jennings means is clearly dilusional.

I would still say best of luck to him and understand that money talks and gm's having your back is BS.

Come now DH.. you know you would have a roman candle pointing directly at Thompson if he lets Jennings walk..

But to your question.. if that is the avenue that seems right for Greg.. then I wish him the best.

But I would also start to inspect again why it is that Greg doesn't feel that GB is the right place for him just like I question some of the items around why another great longtime player decided he didn't want to continue here in Green Bay.. instead he retired.

There are some open questions surrounding the Packers... but at this point, I think players not wanting to be here isn't one of them.. minus one legendary one.

People do tend to glorify Gregorious a lot on this forum. (Myself included) Even to the point where we seem to overrate him (if possible).

It would have to depend on the circumstances of him leaving. If he left to the Bucs or somewhere other than in our division because they offered more money, I couldn't hold anything against him for that. If he went somewhere than publicly trashed the Packers, I would get upset. If he went to the Bears or Vikings......

If Greg Jennings were to go extinct then human beings would be back at the top of the food chain.

He's free to make that choice, I guess. I wouldn't be too happy, but I wouldn't be pissed off about it either.

The bing thing that would bother me is that he's saying that his contract can wait etc. If he would make the management think that his contract could wait for another year and instead leaves to go to the Cowboys or so, that would hurt.

Then again, the management should pay this guy sometime soon.

Historically, the record of Packers' receivers after leaving for other teams has been less than stellar. In fact, it's been downright abysmal. Greg Jennings has said he wants to remain in Green Bay, no doubt partly because he knows it's in the best long-term interest of his career.

Am I saying he's overrated? To some extent, perhaps. He's certainly no god, nor would I feel betrayed were he to leave for a better opportunity elsewhere. I just think he'd quickly discover it wasn't as plum a berth as he expected it to be.

I hope he doesn't leave, but doesn't he just have that vibe about him that he doesn't really want to move around because of his family; that he would do his best to stick around. Odds are he won't have to take a pay cut around here any time soon I mean he has proven himself already to the point that is probably either the first or second priority for a new deal. Plus I mean it is not like he has been here for 16 years and is retiring or anything hehe.
