Making a general statement like, "there is always hesitancy when you're asked to do something different" now equals back-stabbing people through the media, and making someone your whipping boy? Your hatred of McCarthy and Thompson really makes you sound stupid as shit sometimes.

...And everyone seemed to be getting along nicely.

Moderator hat on for a moment..indulge me, please.

If it goes personal, it will probably stay personal. The subject is worth keeping right where it is.

Well, If Kampy doesn't want to discuss it with the media perhaps MM shouldn't be trying to pursuade him to buy into it via the media outlet, which is 100% what he is trying to do.

Sit Kampy down and figure out what is going on. When the media probes say "I'd rather not comment" or use the "poor pad level" excuse like you do for every other downfall with the team.

Why, just because a player doesn't want to talk to the media, is it automatic that he now hates his job?

It's new for him, he's trying to learn all he has to do. Maybe he just doesn't want to talk right NOW.
Maybe later he will.
I think it's just another made up story. You know, how the media does when they can't get someone to talk, they make crap up.

This topic has degenerated into precisely what I feared it would. A bunch of conspiracy theory mongering and reactionary TT/MM defending.

I think almost everyone is more or less quite happy in Green Bay these days and I think we are going to see the results on the field next season.

It is obvious that he has some sort of problem with it. I'm fine with that but let's not just pretend it isn't the case. I didn't say he hated his job, but he doesn't seem real happy. One of the most accomodating players mysteriously refuses interviews even after the Packers encourage him to give them. Couple that with MM's almost apologetic public plea to Kampy and it's obvious.

It isn't a big issue really, as long as Kampy sucks it up and follows the coaches lead, but I do have an issue with MM's public plea. They asked Poppinga what he thought and he said "Ask Aaron". I think MM should follow that approach.

If I'm Kamp and I'm unhappy with my new role but am doing what is told, I don't want my head coach giving me a bunch of fluff through the media, especially when I won't talk to them myself.

It's how this organization works though. Instead of communicating they relay messages via the media outlet. It's the same way they handled the Favre thing and now the Collins things. Nick Collins has expressed an interest that the Packers at least acknowledge his situation. Their is a real problem communicating within the GB family from what I see.

To be fair, the topic is Kamp being unhappy with his role. That is directly related to the organization.

Again, all I'm saying is MM should not have addressed the situation via the media. Obviously Kampy doesn't want the media in it.

As usual, anything that is viewed as a criticism of the GB organization is met with the worn-out and tired "you hate Ted" reply.

Forget rational debate........GB as an organization does nothing wrong, ever. Even slight criticism leads to the same hardheadedness from the usual suspects.
