"It was on the internet so it must be true."

Some of you Packer fans are just incredibly naive. You let untrue attacks on Brett Favre, Donald Driver, and Aaron Kampman sway your opinions of some of the finest people in the league.

Why do you fall for this crap and join the attacks on your own players.

Why don't you stand up to these unfounded accusations. Grow a set and don't attack these Packer players because they refuse to talk to some dirtbag with a blog.

Have you no principles or morals? Have you not seen these are good people over the years? Why are you turning on them? Because you believe some dirtbag blogger instead of the good guys?

Have you no brains to sort through the crap?!!

If next week some idiot blogs that Aaron Rodgers is demanding a trade would you believe that crap too??

Why do you think the good guys are attacked?

You are like weed pollen blowing in the wind of internet reporting. Stand firm against the wind and be anchored in the truth.

As a "fan" why would you believe that every player on the team hates the Packers?

Many of you need some common sense slapped into you for believing slanderous gossip.

Wake up your foolish people!!

Siefert had this to say about the Kampmann situation:

Rushing to judgment on Kampman

You could argue that Kampman knows how his silence will be interpreted by most people, and that he could negate that assumption by making a few benign statements. But I've always thought it's wrong to hold a player's reluctance to speak against him by assuming the worst unless he indicates otherwise. (Although I'm sure I've participated in such exercises many times in the past.)

I found this part interesting because we as readers do that all the time, we assume because they aren't talking, they aren't happy. Other players don't talk and alot of posters on here torch them.

I have said it before and will say it again, it's the offseason and writers need something to write about. One thing that is scary is why is it all coming out negative about contracts, could there be something there i have no clue but where there's smoke usually theres fire.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be šŸ™‚ (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Sorry for the locking, guys. I got the impression the OP was afraid this discussion would degenerate into another mudslinging battle, so I closed it for him.

Something is up, Kampy is struggling to adjust or just flat-out doesn't want to.

I don't think the media is really running with anything that is untrue. It doesn't say he demanded a trade, just that he is not talking even when the Packers wanted him to. Something is bothering him and the 3-4 switch would be a likely thing.

If I were a professional sports athlete, or any kind of celebrity for that matter, I would keep my interactions with the media to an absolute minimum. Almost nothing you say to the media ever works in your favor -- someone always skews it or looks for ways to tease negative connotations out of it. They're like a pack of vultures, picking apart the corpses of rotten words. Journalistic objectivity has gone the way of the Bronze Age, if it ever existed in the first place.

People say it harms your career not to talk to the media. That isn't always so. Some of the biggest names in Hollywood, for example, are fiercely private and almost nothing is known about their personal lives, political views, etc. Sometimes being silent actually increases your mystique.

I see no reason to assume Kampmann is unhappy simply because he chooses to keep his own counsel. And the media saying he's unhappy doesn't make it so.

Where do you get this theory from? They haven't even put pads on yet. You're wrong, there are more options that he's struggling or flat out doesn't want to. You have nothing to go on other than his NOT talking to the media. You're big on the whole 'what does so an so owe us', well why does he owe you an explanation or his time to talk to the media? Especially since the media is counting him out.

You haven't read the reports from the media that they feel Kampman can not make the switch effectively, have you? You think that sits well with Kampman? You think that is going to encourage those who are counting him out to force him to provide his free time to them? So they can twist his words into a story that he's not catching on or not happy?

I have no real doubt once so ever that this switch is bothering him. Pro Bowl DE switching to OLB in a new scheme during a contract year. Yeah, gosh let's be tickled pink about that!.

MM Pretty much acknowledged just that.

Kampman has not spoken to reporters about the change, but Packers coach Mike McCarthy seemed to acknowledge Thursday that Kampman has some reservations.

You're implying the reason Kampman is not talking to the media is because he is not happy about the switch. I'm saying he could be avoiding the media because the media is dogging him on the switch saying he can't make it. And by talking to the media, if he lets that out that he's not happy with the media, guess what the media will do? Hammer him, pick his words apart, etc. Why subject yourself to that?

I don't question him being upset about the move, I question you saying he is avoiding the media because he's not happy with the switch or because he's struggling. I try to think wider than narrow.

Hell, it could be that he's so damn excited about the move that he doesn't want anyone knowing how tickled he is about it? After all he has kept things from us in the past. Remember his pad change? Remember him being asked if it was so they can't hold him as easily? Remember him smiling slyly and not commenting on it?

Fact is, no one knows and all we can do is guess. So saying its because he dislikes the move or because he's struggling, is wrong by not including other potential reasons. How the hell can he be struggling in underwear man? lol if this was training camp I could see that statement actually being taken seriously. I, for one, do not take it seriously.

I'm banking on he's jus not happy with the media and also not happy with the change. I think if he's pissed, I'm glad I'm not a QB in the NFL because Kampman will be in the nightmares of every QB.
