Yada.. Yada... Ya...

If Peppers is playing for the Packers next season, I will don a skirt and pom pom and shake a tail feather.

1) The contract he is going to command is going to be massive.

2) He is a prototypical 4-3 end..

3) He has never played in a 3-4... could he drop into coverage? Can he remain impactful from the outside?

4) Was 07' a fluke year?

Add all these items together, the clues will tell you the story IMO. No Peppers to Green Bay on huge money and no proven track record that he can fit into the 3-4 alignment and prosper.

IMO.. we have a better chance of trading for TO. ;)

Actually getting Terrell Owens would be far easier. Owens has very few years left in him compared to Peppers and would cost far less money. Hell, if reports are true that the Cowboys are getting sick of Owens; Jones just might take Ruvell Martin even up for him just to rid his team of the dude!

I'd like TO to stay as far from GB as he can. Only want to see him getting beaten and crying at Lambeau.

As for Peppers, I agree with Pack93. I'd like to get a good OLB, but this would be a huge gamble. Even if he succeeds as a 3-4 rusher, I still think he'd be a one-trick pony, just like the guy on the other side might be.

This is going to be the year Uncle Ted spends some money. I believe he was really embarrassed by last years D, especially the NO game on MNF.

The left leg is always silky smooth.. tad colder than the other though.

On Ted spending money.. maybe... maybe not.. but spending a large chunk on a gamble that Peppers could transition well into the 3-4 is way out there risky.. into the not wise zone.

I think you will see a few moves... but more on substance than flash.

Oh an the TO comment.. if Ted even sniffs around the franchise killer in TO.. I will revoke my "Confidence in Ted" card faster than Jamal Anderson can sniff a powdery white line.

They interviewed peppers on the sideline during the pro bowl and he said he wanted to play in a 3-4 set to maximize his potential.

We should just trade Kampman for Peppers after all Peppers is far more athletic player. In case you folks forgot he also played Basketball in college. So let carolina franchise him and then we pull the trigger on a trade.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Give me a guy the plays all out all the time over a guy that maybe has been gifted with more natural talent but doesn't maximize his efforts on top of said talent.

Advantage Kampman.

Just my opinion.

Cowboys | Owens to be released?

Peter King, of SI.com, reports he believes in six weeks the Dallas Cowboys will release WR Terrell Owens. "I think everyone doing free-agent lists should add one name in pencil: Terrell Owens. I'll bet you a month's worth of lattes he'll be free in six weeks," King said.

Rams | Holt, Pace shopped at Senior Bowl?

Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports the St. Louis Rams were floating the names of WR Torry Holt and OT Orlando Pace as available via trade for a third-round draft choice at the Senior Bowl, according to an NFL scout.

I'd take Torry Holt for a third. He's got 4 good years in him yet and he is a very good route runner and hands catcher. Besides, Uncle Ted will make up for the third in no time. As for Pace, I don't think he would be worth the cabbage.

I was thinking either one of those guys would be worth a 3rd rounder, you get veteran leadership and good players and after all we do have 2 3rd rounders.

packerfanoutwest (6m) : as I just said,,gtheyh are in no matter what
Zero2Cool (12m) : Packers should get in. I just hope it's not 7th seed. Feels dirty.
packerfanoutwest (14m) : If packers lose out, no matter what, they are in
packerfanoutwest (15m) : both teams can not male the playoffs....falcon hold the tie breaker
packerfanoutwest (17m) : if bucs win out they win their division
beast (26m) : Fine, Buccaneers and Falcons can get ahead of us
packerfanoutwest (32m) : falcons are already ahead of us
beast (35m) : Packers will get in
beast (36m) : If Packers lose the rest of their games and Falcons win the rest of theirs, they could pass us... but not gonna happen
packerfanoutwest (42m) : they still are in the playoffs
packerfanoutwest (42m) : If Packers lose the remaining games,,,,at 10-7
Zero2Cool (2h) : We can say it. We don't play.
Mucky Tundra (3h) : But to say they are in is looking past the Saints
Mucky Tundra (3h) : That said, their odds are very favorable with a >99% chance of making the playoffs entering this week's games
Mucky Tundra (3h) : Packers are not in and have not clinched a playoff spot.
buckeyepackfan (4h) : Packers are in, they need to keep winning to improve their seed#.
Mucky Tundra (13h) : Getting help would have been nice, but helping ourselves should always be the plan
beast (13h) : Too bad Seahawks couldn't beat Vikings
bboystyle (13h) : We just need to win Monday night and were in
Mucky Tundra (17h) : Or ties, but let's be real here
Mucky Tundra (17h) : Other scenario was Falcons+Rams losses
Mucky Tundra (17h) : Needed a Falcons loss for a Seahawk loss to clinch
buckeyepackfan (17h) : Am I wring in saying if Tge Vikings beat The Seahawks, The Packers clinch?
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : Agreed; you stinks
Zero2Cool (21-Dec) : I'm not beating anyone. I stinks.
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : rough injury for tank dell. guy can't catch abreak
beast (21-Dec) : So far the college playoffs have sucked... One team absolutely dominates the other
beast (21-Dec) : Well even if you weren't positive towards a guy, you wouldn't nessarily want to tell the media that (if they don't know about it)
Martha Careful (21-Dec) : I think MLF want Love to look past the end half issues, and feel good about his play. Our coaches generally keep a very positive tone.
beast (21-Dec) : I think a great running game will do that for most QBs
packerfanoutwest (21-Dec) : Coach Matt LaFleur has said quarterback Jordan Love is playing the best football of his career.
beast (21-Dec) : Oh, that's how you keep beating buckeye, with cheating
Zero2Cool (20-Dec) : There is a rule that if your name starts with 'b' you lose 15 points. Hey, I don't make the rules, I just enforce them!
wpr (20-Dec) : and then there is Beast. Running away with it all.
beast (20-Dec) : As of tonight, 3 way tie for 2nd in Pick'em, that battle is interesting!
beast (20-Dec) : Lions vs Vikings could be the main last game as it could determine division winners or #1 vs #2 seed
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Or if KC needs to win for the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Right now it looks like the only prime worthy games are Det-Minny and KC-Denver (if Denver can clinch a wild card spot)
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : The entirety of week 18 being listed as flex is weird
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Matt LaFleur today says unequivocally "Ted Thompson had nothing to do with the drafting of Jordan Love."
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Apparently, the editing is what pieces comments together. That Ted thing ... fake news.
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : LaFleur "opportunity that Ted Thompson thought was too good to pass up"
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Jordan Love pick was Ted Thompson's idea.
Mucky Tundra (19-Dec) : Kyle Shanahan on signing De'Vondre Campbell as a FA last offseason: “We obviously made a mistake.”
packerfanoutwest (19-Dec) : Alexander’s last season with GB
Martha Careful (18-Dec) : if I were a professional athlete, I would probably look to see who the agent is for Kirk Cousins and then use him
beast (18-Dec) : $100 million fully guaranteed Kirk Cousins gets benched for rookie
Mucky Tundra (18-Dec) : a lower case b
Mucky Tundra (18-Dec) : The real lie is how beast capitalized his name in his message while it's normally spelled with
packerfanoutwest (18-Dec) : haha that's a lie
