The Green Bay Packers have made the call to startJordan Lovein Friday night's first preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers. The team is still set on him possibly being a part of their future. However, at a certain point, the franchise will come to a crossroads. Love is entering his third season with only

Are we in a hurry to get rid of him? What a weird headline. Besides, Rodgers is playing in 2022 and 2023, then retiring. Tom Brady is retiring in 2022 and I highly doubt Rodgers wants to share attention with Tommy Boy. This isn't a knock on Rodgers, I would stay one more year to avoid that avalanche too! haha

Based on a Rodgers statement, I feel like he'll heavy consider retirement if he wins another Super Bowl, not saying he will, but it sounded like he wanted to walk away while on top...

And back to back MVPs,... can't get too much more on top than that, other than Super Bowl.

They may have come to some agreement with Aaron. Just seems to have become oddly Kopecetic between Aaron and Gutey.

They're all in for Aaron's "run it back," but Aaron's gonna hang around until Love is ready. Something of that sort.

Maybe not exactly that, but it's something. Remember when they traded for Cobb and all that? They made some agreement, and now Aaron is happy as a lark.

I still believe the packers want Love as the next QB for the team. It is kind of fortunate that Love has not demonstrated that he is ready. Otherwise, it would make the contract extension decison with Rodgers tougher to make. Then again, Rodgers is still in his prime so the GM would want as many years as he can get with him at this level unless you think he is the main reason for the dissapointing playoff issues.

The trade talk stuff seems so dumb to me. What team is going to make a big trade for an unproven QB? There is nothing that Love can do in the preseason to change that. For the Packers, they picked Love in the first round and have speng alot of time developing him. Are they going to just throw that away for a 2nd or 3rd round level player?

Love's body of work is very limited, and it wasn't bad when you actually look at the film. KC is a very difficult place to play.

Give him a break. I think he can be excellent.

I think this has and is playing out pretty well for The Packers.

They are now in a position to evaluate Love while Aaron is basically on a 3-1 year contract deal.
28mil cap hit this year, 31mil cap hit next year, then a decision will have to be made whether Aaron wants to stay or not.

Love, who is now being coached by Tom Clements, will hopefully show he can be a starting QB.

The Packers have to make the decision before the start of the 2023 season whether to pick up Loves 5th year season option.

Say they do, you still have Love on his rookie contract in 2023.

Then it comes down once again to what Aaron wants to do.

I remember Ron Wolf drafting a qb almost every year.
That's how The Packers ended up with Favre(trade of course), Brunell and Detmer all together.
Also had Kurt Warner for about a week, until he realized he was just a camp arm.
Despite what all "the talking heads", in the media say, The Packers are better off when they have options at the end of every season.

No matter what happens this year, I will bet they draft a qb next year.

I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

We'll see about Justin Fields, but may have the two best QBs in the division.

I think they need to upgrade their OL still, but they might of already done it, and just need the players to grow into it, as their starting OL could be top 2 round picks from 2018-2022 drafts.

But their defense still has some big holes. Hopefully Zadarius and Sullivan don't know the offense too much to help hurt Rodgers or Rodgers can take advantage of what they know.

dfosterf (2-Jan) : Hats off to the Beast
dfosterf (2-Jan) : I'm at 71.76% in pick 'em. 2nd place. Beast is at a flat 75% 9 games ahead. That 75% has got to be unprecedented this late in the season

Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : BTW, not serious.
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : You don't care about it either!!!!
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : NIL and Portal killed college, no one cares about it.
Mucky Tundra (2-Jan) : outside of Texas-Arizona St, it's been a snoozefest
beast (2-Jan) : I expect Georgia will change that tomorrow, but we'll have to wait and see. If they do, then only Big 10 and SEC are left.
beast (2-Jan) : So much for Conference Championship meaning something as 100% (so far) of the conference Champions lost their first playoff game.
Zero2Cool (1-Jan) : Jaire had surgery, season over.
Mucky Tundra (1-Jan) : I guess I need a new sig Pic. Boo
Mucky Tundra (1-Jan) : Eric Dickerson approves of this decision

Zero2Cool (1-Jan) : Patriots are waiving veteran pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue
beast (1-Jan) : Happy New Year's 🥳🎉
beast (31-Dec) : I want to them chant some songs for Daniel Whelan
beast (31-Dec) : Let's win one! Also, hopefully the Irish will stand with Daniel Whelan
Mucky Tundra (31-Dec) : After London and Brazil, I could go without an overseas game for a while
Zero2Cool (31-Dec) : Packers. Steelers. Ireland. 2025. Reports say.
Zero2Cool (30-Dec) : Matt Lafleur on if Jaire will play again this season. "Yeah I don't know... he's been dealing with swelling."
Mucky Tundra (30-Dec) : After the way they played for most of the game yesterday, I don't see how you can sit anyone for the whole game
Zero2Cool (30-Dec) : I'd say play everyone. Going into playoffs at 7th seed on two game lose streak - yucky
Zero2Cool (30-Dec) : Do the Packers have any best players?
beast (30-Dec) : Play or Rest*
beast (30-Dec) : Should the Packers play or free their best players vs the Bears?
Zero2Cool (30-Dec) : Packers should be 3 - 2 in the Division. Bonkers being swept by both Lions and Vikings. yikes
go.pack.go. (30-Dec) : All crazy stuff…and good point beast
beast (30-Dec) : Packers should be 0-5 in the division, can't say I saw that coming, even 1-4
Zero2Cool (30-Dec) : Sam Darnold 35 TD's ... another one
Zero2Cool (30-Dec) : Baker Mayfield, 39 TD's ... can't say I saw that one
Zero2Cool (30-Dec) : No matter who is playing as 7th, I think we want them to win. Get rid of 2nd seed haha
go.pack.go. (30-Dec) : That would be dhazer who was rooting for Minnesota
beast (30-Dec) : Well, Commanders are currently the 6th seed and Packers the 7th
beast (30-Dec) : Who was it in Chat, that wanted the Vikings to win (because Lions fans upset them) because Packers could not lose the 6th seed?
beast (30-Dec) : If Falcons win, Packers stay as the 6th seed and Falcons lead the NFCS, if they lose, Commanders 6th and Bucs take NFCS lead
beast (30-Dec) : Win or Loss, the NFCS is going down to week 18
Mucky Tundra (30-Dec) : if the Falcons win, how does that affect the overall NFC playoff picture? Does it mean that the NFC South comes down to week 18?
