I think this has and is playing out pretty well for The Packers.
They are now in a position to evaluate Love while Aaron is basically on a 3-1 year contract deal.
28mil cap hit this year, 31mil cap hit next year, then a decision will have to be made whether Aaron wants to stay or not.
Love, who is now being coached by Tom Clements, will hopefully show he can be a starting QB.
The Packers have to make the decision before the start of the 2023 season whether to pick up Loves 5th year season option.
Say they do, you still have Love on his rookie contract in 2023.
Then it comes down once again to what Aaron wants to do.
I remember Ron Wolf drafting a qb almost every year.
That's how The Packers ended up with Favre(trade of course), Brunell and Detmer all together.
Also had Kurt Warner for about a week, until he realized he was just a camp arm.
Despite what all "the talking heads", in the media say, The Packers are better off when they have options at the end of every season.
No matter what happens this year, I will bet they draft a qb next year.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!
