I just don’t remember that many injuries on kickoffs. Are they just looking for problems that aren’t really there? Kicking from the 35 has put most of them in the end zone anyway.

Injury rates on NFL kickoffs remain so high that the league's competition committee will give a mandate: Make the play safer, or the committee will recommend its elimination in the near future.

The message for the group, Murphy said, would be: "If you don't make changes to make it safer, we're going to do away with it. It's that serious. It's by far the most dangerous play in the game."

That’s probably so. All I said is that I don’t remember any serious injuries on kickoffs. I’m sure not an authority on the subject.
I do remember MANY injuries on pass plays.
I wonder if they will try to stop that part of the game.
Pro football is a dangerous sport, no doubt. You can try to negate injuries, but at some point you have to accept some chance of injury. Or just close the doors and call it quits.
That is one reason why pro ball players get paid such ridiculous salaries. The chance of getting hurt is much higher then average jobs.
Look at the MLB. They took away the catcher blocking the plate, as that was a high injury risk.
But where do you stop?

Then again, another thought, I read quite a bit how "dumb" the Packers are for having someone like Charles Woodson on returns or Randall Cobb. Interesting ...

Again, I'm also assuming these injuries are happening outside of our view given all the attention to injuries on kickoffs, I've just yet to see anything besides people making claims without any sort of information to back it up.

It is not in the best interest of the NFL or any team to release any more information on injuries than they can help. It's bad public relations and can aid teams that compete against a recovered injured player. Famous players like Aaron Rodgers, due to reporters and public pressure, end up revealing every detail of an injury. At the same time, an injury to a rookie LB does not garner as much attention.
