As they were saying on Yahoo! Sports Radio today, sure, it's all well and good that the defense was able to make repeated goal-line stands, but it was their own poor play that put them in the position of having to make those stands, so it's not like their performance was exactly laudable. If you postpone writing a paper until 10 minutes before it's due but somehow manage to dash off something you can turn in by the deadline, is that really such a praiseworthy accomplishment? Or would it not have been far better to start a few days earlier and write something that shows off your actual talents and abilities?

If the Packers run the rest of the table, win the Super Bowl and end up 18-1, I'll be overjoyed. My only concern is that this loss may create a bit of a pattern that will end up biting us in the postseason. Granted, I'm a catastrophizer but I do agree that a loss will be a good thing. If a team keeps winning, then there's no need to change anything. I think this loss will make us better come the postseason and we do have 4 of our next 5 (if we get home field and make the Super Bowl) at home. I want another Super Bowl and I think we're poised to give it another great run. We're battle tested and experienced. The only issue is injuries, something that no one can control.

Oh they definitely could have played better (defense that is), but they played well enough win. The offense did not.

Oddly, I feel more disappointed about Aaron Rodgers missing out on his 110 rating streak than the loss. I was hoping to see him go the whole season and last week it got ruined. Then again yesterday.

KC doesn't exactly have a good D. We should have been able to score more than 19 points on it. Just from what I've read about the game, the O is the unit that failed.

Teams will see game film of Finley dropping 6 passes and will know how to beat us.

Which is pretty damn interesting in that it means: A) Rodgers was off-mark on some passes to Finley (McGinn explicitly states this in evaluating Rodgers' performance); and 😎 some of the misses by Finley were not so much "catchable" balls, but rather Finley got in position to have the chance to make some sort of play on them.

Pretty socking McGinn thinks Finley deserves to be credited with just two drops.

We stunk it up all around yesterday, but the pressure for 16-0 is now off and we can get back to just concentrating on getting back to the Super Bowl. It seemed like everything was more about going 16-0 than getting back to the big game. I'd rather have another Super Bowl than going undefeated and losing in the playoffs or the big game.

I think this will be a wake up call to this team and we will start unleashing an all out attack and dominate teams hopefully on both sides of the ball.

Hope the packers dont feel too bad about it.
like whatever packers just need to win another one to grab home field advantage; christmas day vs the bears sounds like a good game to do that.

oh zombie - KC's D looked pretty impressive; weather thats from our Oline being off and the windy field thats another matter; but rodgers really didnt have much time or room like he usually does.
In this game I would of rather had KCs D then ours to be honest. And orton was decently impressive; still think hes a decent QB -

This game was very similar to the Carolina game, but our offense came through with some big plays. No big plays on Sunday.

If they had done their job and forced more than two punts all game, this game never would have been in doubt. Do you realize Kansas City hadn't scored more than 10 points in 6 consecutive games? There's no question the offense failed to show up on Sunday, but they have done their part so far this season. They have bailed out the defense week after week, averaging almost 35 points a game. This time it was the defense's turn, and they failed miserably.
