And in fairness to the journalists, theyr were like Great Whites on a feeding frenzy yesterday with the Jay Cutler knee thing. Stupid as that was, that was the only thing they talked about yesterday. If it weren't for that, they'd probably be talking about that hit on Monday morning

They were wrong to question Jay Cutler's toughness. Talk about overrated stories. They should have been talking about how the Packers' defense has owned Jay Cutler since he became part of this rivalry. He had only one touchdown drive in 10 quarters this season. I think three or four touchdowns in 18 quarters going back to last season and 10 interceptions going back to last season.

That is the story. Not that he got hurt.

GREAT point. It certainly does seem like all anybody is talking about is Cutler being hurt, and not that the Packers owned him yet again. There has been almost no talk about the actual game. Maybe that is yet to come. We'll see.

I am reading about Cutler in a thread titled about Rodgers. I love working 12hrs and coming to the site to read this shit. I think I'm gonna tinkle myself with glee and excitement!

:sarcasm:

I posted in this thread before, I think, I dunno, I was taking a dump and checking in with my phone. I don't think Rodgers was concussed at all. The hit that I think did the most damage was the one on his TD run. Check out the plays where Rodgers suffered a concussion, then watch the hit against the Bears. You can see a big difference on his face.

We only hardly touched on the Cutler talk, you big silly goose. I haven't even really heard much in the media suggesting that Rodgers was concussed. Conversely, the only injury talk about him has been about his shoulder, and that was quickly minimized to him having *some* pain. That doesn't worry me....at all.

Rodgers: Helmet prevented concussion

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers believes a new, high-tech helmet prevented him from sustaining his third concussion of the season during Sunday's NFC Championship Game win over the Bears, SI.com reported Tuesday.

Rodgers was walloped early in the fourth quarter by Chicago defensive end Julius Peppers, with Peppers' helmet hitting Rodgers in the head and lifting his helmet up.

Rodgers appeared shaken initially, but said he was not woozy after the game. Peppers was flagged for a 15-yard penalty in accordance with the NFL's ban on helmet-to-helmet hits.

"That was lucky,'' Rodgers told Sports Illustrated's Peter King. "As much as the new helmet feels uncomfortable and I'm still getting used to it, I'm really happy I was wearing it on that hit.''

"It hurt, I can tell you that. He hit me pretty good. I know what a concussion feels like. I'm just grateful this wasn't hard enough to give me another one.''

The newly designed helmets are meant to limit concussions, and the NFL has urged players to switch.

Helmet-maker Riddell claims that its Revolution model can decrease the risk of concussion by 31 percent, while rival Schutt claims its newest helmet is 44 percent safer than the Revolution.

However, the claims have not been substantiated independently. Earlier this month, Sen. Tom Udall (D-N.M.) requested that the Federal Trade Commission review both companies' claims.

Rodgers has already sustained two concussions this season. The first occurred in overtime of a loss at Washington on Oct. 10, though Rodgers played the following week.

The second happened in the second quarter of a 7-3 loss at Detroit on Dec. 12, and Rodgers missed the next game at New England.

The 27-year-old is enjoying a prolific postseason so far, with 790 yards and six touchdowns in three games, as the Packers head into Super Bowl XLV next Sunday against Pittsburgh.

This is page 4 of a thread. At page 5 or 6, we'll start talking about sex. Then at page 7, Brett Favre. Then page 8, it will go back to sex.

At around page 10, we'll start arguing how Ted Thompson kind of got lucky. Then page 11, we'll go back on topic.

You should know how these threads go.

LoL.

And after about 12 pages Zero starts handing out bans and cuts the live-stream (I've since learned to stop depending on him, lolz!). Seriously though...sometimes a conversation has just reached its limit. What more needs to be said about Rodgers' possible concussion or shite play from quarters 2 through 4?

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

It doesn't matter whether or not Quarless "dropped" the pass. What matters is that it was a lousy throw, and that's a throw that Rodgers usually makes. If you think Rodgers played up to his usual standard after that big hit, then we'll have to agree to disagree. A relatively minor injury does not necessarily mean that every single throw is going to be bad. Often it's the consistency that suffers.

I agree, though, that Rodgers had some bad throws before that hit, so it's hard to pin his poor performance at the end of the game on the effects of that hit.

Sorry..

Wasnt trying to say it was a good pass..
Wasnt saying it was his normal pass.

Just that IMO it wasnt something that was so horrible that should make people think he was concussed..

As Jason Wilde thinks (I also agree) is that he hurt the shoulder on the TD run and that is why he was off
