Shields has stepped into the role and played VERY well. It always seems to me that going from college to pros as a corner is the hardest position. Zombo has a lot of other guys around him that can help out, but with Shields playing corner, there are many times that once the ball is in the air, he is on his own, and he has down a great job thus far. Watch for him to continue improving.

I would have to say Shields. Zombo has been getting better at his pass rushing though and has been strong against the run all year. If Zombo keeps having improving he could surpass Shields.

The cool thing about these guys is Shields only played CB the 1 year in college and I don't believe Zombo ever played LB in college. They both should be able to improve quite a bit from where they are at now.

I agree. We have a great defensive staff. Both of these guys are gonna take HUGE steps in year 2. (But I bet Ted Thompson still goes after an elite OLB in the draft. RB too.)

IMO Shields by a mile. Most of what he has done is himself. A lot of Zombo production is scraps falling off Matthew, Jenkins and Raji's table.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Shields hands down.. when you can man that spot and have your name called so little for making a mistake.. it is no small feat.

Zombo is coming on.. but Shields gets my nod.

Only part of Shields game that makes me nervous.. fielding a kick.. but once he has the rock.. it is the coverage team that gets nervous.
