Okay.. so I took a few minutes to stack up last weeks games and measure the winning percentage of the better defensive ranked (scoring) team and the winning percentage of the team winning the TOP battle.

Teams winning the TOP won 64 % of the time with a 13.4 average margin of victory.

Teams with the better ranked D won 50% of the time with a margin of victory average of 13.9. This was per their current rankings as of the moment.

What does this tell us.. not much in the small sampling.. but since we are stat happy.. a small peak into the claims.

"The oranges are dry; the apples are mealy; and the papayas... I don't know what's going on with the papayas!"
