I'm not sure of all the NFL rules... but do the Chargers have to take him off the IR?

My guessed would be no right like the Packers didn't take Wynn off the IR when he claimed to be healthy... they just told him to shut up...

Also even if they do take him off they'll probably giving him an injury settlement and teams will have to wait for the injury settlement to end before picking him up... which with SD GM my guess is he'll have the injury settlement go through the end of the year... just a guess...

I'm not sure of the details, but it's a different distinction of IR. Last I heard on NFL Network, he should be available in 2-3 weeks as his injury is pretty minor.

They are required to release him when he is healthy. I don't know what the requirement is to determine when he is healthy though. I also think he may have to go through waivers before he becomes a FA though.
