Today, Memorial Day, has always been a special day for my wife and I as we usually accompany my father in law to the Ishpeming cemetery to hear members of The United States Military both past and present eulogize defenders of our freedom.
I feel especially fortunate that I can sit at the graves of my uncle Doug, a WWII hero, and my cousin Jack, a WWII Navy veteran as we observe this very moving ceremony.
Please take a moment today to honor our American heroes past and present in whatever way you are able.
Today it is pouring rain here and the ceremony may not be held but our heroes will be remembered in our home none the less.
