Well I have seen enough statements on this board to say that there are a LOT of Pack fans that want McCarthy gone. I am asking them and others, who's next? Who would be our new head coach if McCarthy is gone after this year? No complaining about play calling, no discusion about McCarthy. WHO is replacing him and why?

1: Cowher.
2: Capers.
Not necessarily in that order. Parcells might ditch Miami. But he only lasts a couple years where ever he goes nowadays.

Capers sucked as a HC before. It wouldn't be any different now.

I have actually began recently to doubt McCarthy's coaching. But I wanted this thread to not focus on that but simply who we would get and why.

As for you, I am very tired of seeing your negative comments around this board. Also, you have hardly, if ever, had stats or good sense in your writing. Most of your comments have been blatantly criticizing our team, coaching staff, and FO. I am beyond tired of seeing your name and negative, rubbish comments. So, in order to continue to enjoy this board I will choose to ignore you. I just want to encourage you to either start making sensible comments.

Now, nerd and others who have said Cowher, do you think he can lead our offense? I'm not saying this in doubting or condescending terms, I am simply wondering if he is that kind of a coach. I love his coaching style, but with Capers installed in our D we need an offensive minded coach, imo. I am wondering if Cowher is that coach because we need someone that can take control of our highly talented, poorly used offense. Is Cowher that guy?

For those dreaming about Cowher: the dude, if he came in, would want final say over the roster.

Ted is not going to give up control and go into a John Schneider type of role. You can call Cowher a pipe dream.

AND as colt excellently eluded to, Cowher is not an offensive minded coach. It is a fair question to ask.

Thanks for the vague non-quantifiable statement that could easily be turned around and applied to EVERY coach in the league. Name one coach who's team no longer commits penalties, turns the ball over, misses tackles, starts or ends the season slowly, misses field goals...if all of these other magical coaches are floating out in space somewhere, why don't we see more teams that "don't repeat the same mistakes year after year?" Wouldn't these coaches be leading 19-0 super bowl champions?

I'm by no means satisfied with how the team is performing, however,Ted and Mike have grown their own team (most drafted players on roster in league) with virtually no big name aqcuisitions into a team that is a stable perennial playoff contender that many feel has a viable shot at the super bowl this year.

I have no ideas on a replacement for McCarthy. At least I wasn't one of the morons who said Cowher or Capers. Every Superbowl winning coach was, at one time, a nobody. Since I don't know every NFL coach I can offer no opinion.

It's OK to say your team sucks, when they actually DO suck... I have never said anything negative about tt, as I am still giving him the benefit of the doubt. McCarthy has always sucked, Rodgers is off his game this year. The bulk of my negative comments stem from these two issues.

Realistically, McCarthy isn't going anywhere. And I certainly don't believe he should be let go this instant. They were 4-4 last season after losing to Tampa Bay. This team is very difficult to figure out. They could run off some wins later in the season. The problem is getting hot at the right time.

Nonetheless, I wouldn't mind Leslie Frazier, but then you have to rebuild your entire defense again.

If you really like the 3-4, then Mike Zimmer has done a fantastic job in Cincinnati.

Kirk Ferentz is probably my favorite coach in America. Not sure he'd leave Iowa though.
