Hawk had an interception. Got robbed of it by a totally BS call from the official. But Hawk made a terrific play to make the interception.

Realistically, McCarthy is going no where in the middle of a season. Plus, in season coaching changes never work. They just don't. It could do more harm than good. Suck it up this year and move on after wards assuming the team wins six or seven games.

This is just a rambling thought. I quote Porky because he mentions not getting rid of Mike McCarthy during the middle of the season.

If we were to get Gruden, why not do it now? :P

Well if that's what it takes to get Gruden, then do it, but I don't think Gruden would want to take over during mid season. I don't think any coach would especially if he's not able to put together his own coaching staff. It'd be to difficult to pull off right now.

I'll say this though. I might start to get a feel or put word out that I'd be interested in Gruden if I make a change. That's if I was in charge.

Yep. Put a bug in his ear and let it fester - you know he wants to coach again, and GB would be a good job.

I'd also put the scouting department full-time on OL prospects, be they upcoming draftees or current pros. Get a jump on it, because even if the team turns a corner yet this season, it'll be despite the OL, not because of it.

OK, one more HUGE positive - Donald Driver. While his stats in the Bucs game weren't particularly outstanding, it's his consistency this season.

Right now, he's on pace for 1200+ yards and 8 TDs. He's 34 years old. That's very impressive in itself.

I'm surprised not more has been said about this. As bad as they played they could have won this game if it weren't for a terrible call there.

I agree. I feel that he's done just that with our WRs. I mean, his passion has seemed to spark over on all of them. Jennings being the main receiver of that. That's a solid foundation to have when you're a young guy, just getting into the league. That mentality and attitude that Driver is showing them will help Jennings, Jones and Nelson throughout their careers.

Same applied to Ruvell, btw. Driver and Martin have had to work for a roster spot in the early part of their careers. That makes for a humbling experience, I can imagine.

Now, if some of that would also spark over on people like Jolly.

Overall, though, I think that we have a team of hard workers and proffesionals.

My positive: You people who were calling for Aaron Rodgers to take more risks, get more interceptions in the interest of throwing more touchdowns, got your wish in spades today.

I was calling for more chances in the short passing game. Throwing into tight coverage, not deep into triple coverage.
