It's a problematic situation for sure.
They absolutely cannot go with Clifton unless his ankle is 100%. I think most would agree with that. The problem I see is I don't think Lang is a long term solution at LT.
With Tauscher what I hope can happen is the Pack jumps out to a good lead and they let him in there to see how he moves around. He hasn't been live for so long now I think starting him would be an error UNLESS possibly he just takes over in practice and it's obvious he's the best player. Apparantly, that has not happened as of yet.
Whatever the solution is two of these guys needs to step up and play better than what we've seen. I don't give a crap which two it is but somebody step up.
PS. We need Spitz back. Wells isn't playing any better than either tackle position. It just doesn't get noted as much.
What would be awesome would be if Clifton and Tauscher could muster one last run and lead an offensive line revival that ends up with us in the Metrodome in the playoffs resulting in 0 sacks and a Pack win.
Now wouldn't that kick butt?
