These are clearly some simple minded creatures that go after Rodgers.

Let's try to put ourselves in the mind of these idiots:
Hi. I'm Steve. I love the Packers. Brett Favre is my favorite player. I love Brett so much, I cried when he retired. He has meant so much to Green Bay -- the city, and the team.

(^^^ BTW... my name isn't Steve or anything, but this accurately describes a LOT of fans' feelings about Favre. People love the guy -- they love football. They love their city)

FAST FORWARD TO THE FAVRE/PACKERS DIVORCE

Hi folks. Steve here again. I'm so mad that the Packers pushed Favre out of town. It makes my blood boil. I think I'll go down to practice and yell and scream at Aaron Rodgers. I've thought about it, and I realize that Rodgers has done nothing wrong. But still, I'm going to tell him, '[expletive] you'. Why? Because I'm a small person with limited class and even more limited maturity. I think I'll teach my kids to walk in my footsteps. Oh... and I'm sure that my antics are good for the Packers. But right now I don't care. I just want Brett back.
______________________________

C'mon! It is very clearly ONE thing to be upset/frustrated/miffed/pissed/sorrowful etc. etc. But don't go after Rodgers. He hasn't done anything wrong. It's like being shortchanged at a pop machine and going and kicking a puppy. It's low. It's classless. It's something less than right.

And THANKFULLY it appears to be in the minority. There are still tons of good fans out there.

[...waiting for dd80forever or LavernColes87Forever or whatever his name is to come in here and tell me he doesn't care about my perspective on what makes a "good" fan ...]
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

If Rodgers plays well this year, these same "fans" will be the ones claiming they knew it all along that he would be good.

If he fails, it will be because he fails.
But he hasn't failed yet. So why treat him like he has???

Brett Favre doesn't play for the Packers anymore, so where's the distraction coming from? If Favre was on the sidelines holding the clipboard, then I could see it being a distraction. But BF is gone. The only people saying Favre's name will be the media and the fans who won't let it go. Nobody on the team will be telling Rodgers, "oh Favre would do this, or Favre would do that." If Rodgers' first pass in the first game is an INT, I won't be saying "Favre would have made that pass".

Favre has nothing to do with how Rodgers will play. If Rodgers fails, it's as Cheesey said, it will be because of himself. He has the pieces around him, he just needs to do his job.

This is ridiculous.

You want to follow Brett around? Go to NY.

If you want to follow the Packers, get used to #12. It is that simple. He will be throwing the TDs and the INTs this year.

YES Brett is missed but Cripes, who are you or anyone else to say Rodgers doesn't deserve it? Or that Ted Thompson and MM messed up? Or even that Brett Favre wanted to be here to lead the Green Bay Packers? (He didn't. That is why he is gone).

Your attitude defines your character. What kind of character do YOU have?
