It's professonal sports, boo's happen. Is he fragile or something? If he thinks that's bad he should see how some "real fans" act after you play a decade and a half and start 5 zillion games in a row then decide to retire and come back. He hasn't seen "classy" like that.

Sure boos happen and there's no crying in football. But to stalk a guy and curse him out practically face to face before he has even started a game - through no fault of his own? Pretty low.

Thata right Edder.......what did Rodgers do wrong? He was given duties to do, which are in his job description, and he's doing them to the best of his ability. I fail to see any wrong in that. He has a PAID job to do, whether Brett Favre is here or not.
To stalk him, when he's 100% innocent, shows no class......OR brains.
If a person is that ticked off, go and talk to TT. But show some class for crying out loud. I bet if you took cuss words out of the guys vocubulary, he wouldn't be able to put a sentence together.

It would seem while some replies in this thread go against the grain, most have been in support of Arod and co. My take on it?

One thing I hope to find in sports, particularly in the teams I follow, is a higher sense of character or morals. Some would argue that they look at wins and losses, pehaps a superbowl to define a teams success, and while that is true, I measure my teams by my own parameters, as most do.

The thing I love about the packers, for several years now, is that agree or disagree with the decisions made by management, we typically have a bunch of guys on our roster that are "easy" to root for. High moral code, great character, and typically not alot of law breakers on the team.

I say that recognizing that you could find specific examples, but in general I believe I'm right.

That being said, I challenge those who oppose the way the Favre situation has been handled to look at the character of Aaron Rodgers, and tell me how he could have handled this situation any better. Most quarterbacks would have asked for a trade / holdout / ask for a release, or any other number of negative acts. All of that would probably have happened prior to this situation even comming to fruition.

But no, Arod said all the right things, tried to befriend Favre, and tried to ain acceptance from a fan base that wanted nothing to do with him. Then when this situation arises, still all positives. When an open competition was "granted" after months of telling Arod here would be none, still nothing negative.

My point is, that although he may never be as good as Favre, and he may make us wish we still had the ol gunsinger around, this is the wrong man to be mad at. If you wish to boo his bad play, thats up to you, but if you wish to wash this Favre anger away in a much more productive manner, I suggest you hop on board, because all Aaron Roders has done so far, is give us reason to cheer.

Little kids learn what they are taught..........if their parents act that way, they will act that way.
Unfortunatly there are jerk fans of ALL teams.
Class is LEARNED. So is being an idiot.

Wait a sec here. Read what he actually said. Rodgers commented that it's not about the boos. That doesn't get to him and nor should it, although I don't think you boo the guy unless he plays bad.

What he stated is it's the fans that shout F-U to him and the little kids that swear at him. You can't honestly say that you condone that or want that to be apart of that. If so then once again just another reason for people who are not Packer fans to take hits at us.

The only thing I can say about those types is that fans is not the word I would use to describe them.

Low lifes, waste of skin....etc. comes to mind.

Sad. But it's not just little kids doing it. It's adults as well, and that's whats really sad. Real mature, ya know? Don't they have anything better to do? There are many more important things to get upset and passionate about.

Never mind. Don't want to get political.

Some people need to get a life. Brett Favre is my favorite player ever but right now, Aaron Rodgers is the starting QB for the Packers and I hope he throws 51 TDs this year.

Fact is......whoever replaced Favre was gonna have a tough time. It wouldn't have been so bad had Favre STAYED retired. Then at least the "haters" wouldn't see Rodgers as "stealing" Brett's job away from him. But as was stated before........Rodgers has done NOTHING wrong. He's doing what his boss has told him to do.....which is his paid JOB.
How ANYONE can boo or cuss him for that, is beyond me. That show NO class, NO upbringing. If you want to boo him for how he produces on the field, thats fine. But when the guy has done NOTHING wrong.....that just proves that there are real idiots that CALL themselves Packer fans.

Zero2Cool (16h) : oops meant $10m cap hit
Zero2Cool (16h) : And pre june is $10m savings

dfosterf (18h) : What they are offering is a left over case of Leinies from the Chippewa Falls plant
Zero2Cool (18h) : 27, 59, 91, 129 gets you Jaire and our 3rd

Martha Careful (11-Mar) : Tyler Linderbaum C
Mucky Tundra (11-Mar) : Cap space?
Zero2Cool (11-Mar) : Do Ravens have anything we'd even entertain to have?
Mucky Tundra (11-Mar) : I've seen trade ideas of Jaire going to the Ravens all offseason
beast (11-Mar) : A probably false rumor is suggesting CB Jaire Alexander is being traded to the Ravens, again probably false
beast (11-Mar) : Commanders might have a dominant offense the next 3 years at least
Zero2Cool (11-Mar) : San Francisco 49ers announced they have released DL Leonard Floyd.
Mucky Tundra (11-Mar) : Er getting traded twice like that
Mucky Tundra (11-Mar) : Huh, LT Laremy Tunsil traded from Houston to Washington. Never heard of a top OT getting traded in his career like that
