I read a stat that Aaron Rodgers is 7 - 9 in his last 16 post-season games .

Most seasons we can simply say the defense is why the Packers lost, but my question is, can Rodgers ever be why they win it all again?

I think three of them losses should have been wins and that the Packers should have at least entered the Super Bowl those seasons.
2021 49ers 13 - You cannot lose at home when opponent only gets 13 points. Losing AJ Dillon really hurt.
2020 Buccaneers 31 - 3 INT's, scored just one time, two three an outs with total -5 yards. Packers get few first downs off them and another score, Packers win.
2019 49ers 37
2016 Falcons 44
2015 Cardinals 28
2014 Seahawks 28 - fluky
2013 49ers 23
2012 49ers 45
2011 Giants 37

I think he can. But if he comes back, that’s going to be some serious pressure on him. He’s taking a LOT of heat after this last loss, even though it’s not solely his fault for the loss. Can you imagine how it’ll go if he loses in the playoffs again?

I also think he can. But not on his own. They have to find a way to keep their best players, and add to the team to shore up the weak points.
That will be very hard to do considering the salary cap.

Of course he can. More likely now than in the past, because now he's got this defense backing him up.

His biggest obstacle is himself, though. Bringing back his long time sycophant Tom Clements, is unlikely to keep him running the actual offense.

That being said, the NFL MVP should have been able to lead an offense to more than 13 points at home in the playoffs in the climate they so badly wanted.

Aaron Rodgers isn't why the Packers loss, but he could have been the reason they won and wasn't. That's what I'm talking about with this thread. He won't be why we lose, but it doesn't seem like he's going to be why win either.

No he can't. Not alone anyway. He needs roughly 32 other players contributing to the win as well.

There is a big difference being someone who can tilt the game in your favor and one who cannot. And Aaron Rodgers does not seem to have the ability to tilt playoff games in the Packers favor. He did in 2010 and got the Packers further in the playoffs than they should a few seasons after that. However, the last two playoff losses the Packers need their QB to WIN the game for them and he couldn't. This isn't even a knock on Aaron Rodgers. The guy is closing in 40 years old in a young mans game.

Was he off in the SF playoff game? Yes but that was not your question. Does he have to play like Russell Wilson did a few years ago when he nearly brought the Seahawks back against GB? No. He shouldn't have to. Then again, the younger man, Wilson, didn't win that game did he? Rodgers should be able to play an average game for an NFL playoff QB and the team still win. Not be the superman on the team and win the game despite other players on the team failing.

If they can get and stay healthy, yes, that's the enemy... injuries. If the OL, Tonyan, MVS and Dillon were healthy, we would of won the Super Bowl this year.

The question is will our team be healthy next year?

dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
