I know what you are saying. I know you are not bashing Rodgers.
That said, "Putting the team on his back" and "tilting the game in your favor" are nearly the same thing even if you don't think so. It's the QB rising up and overcoming other problems the team is facing and winning despite the other shortcomings.
Very few QBs have that ability. Very few QBs can do it all their career. The Packers have been a "dome" type team for years. Going back to Favre, it has been this way. They might win a cold weather game but they have lost plenty of them too.
bboystle mentioned the missing running game. Part of that was Dillon's injury. Part of that was the failure of the OL to block in the running game.
If Lewis and Deguara had caught their passes Aaron may not have felt Adams was their only hope. It may have thrown the ball to the open receiver who was running a shorter crossing route instead of trying to force the deep route that was double teamed. You know the pattern that has almost no chance of success.
Completions on the drop passes keeps the drive alive and they may have scored. It may have only been FGs (Another chuckle) but that would have been 6 more points. The Last Drive going to the underneath receiver also could have worked out well scoring points or at the very least forcing a tie and not leaving SF with time until OT. All these failures by other players would have given Rodgers the perception of tilting the field. His QB rating would have probably been over 100 again and all would have been right with the world.

As for the OL. I am still pissed off it appears they shuffled things around. Why the hell was Billy Turner at LT? They did the same BS last year vs Buccaneers didn't they?
The Packers need to have a better supporting cast because the QB can't tilt it in their favor. How can we do that if he consumes $50 million of cap space? I haven't a clue and sure as hell glad my dork ass don't have that duty, lol.
I'm still in the boat of giving Aaron something like 10 year $200 million contract that's guaranteed. Once playing career is done, he transitions into face of franchise kind of thing and still pockets the cash. And Packers can spread that cash throughout a decade. Seems like a win-win, except for the whole inflation thing, haha.
Yes, when players drop passes it sucks. Aaron has said himself he is OK with drops unless it's a MENTAL issue. He feels mental issues are preventable. You still need to hit the open guy and move the chains. I can't say he didn't do that a lot, but there were a few times while at the game I saw someone open and he forced it to 17. I was freezing my ass off and could see someone breaking free. I also had the luxury of not having 300 lb men wanting to smash by balls down my throat. My point is simply this. He has to trust his guys on the field. If he can't do that, he needs to retire. They got you that far, trust them to take you the rest of the way. I am NOT saying he doesn't, but it's hard to argue against it with how often he forced it to 17 who was covered well.
