Capers said he has no reservations about Kampman playing linebacker. We talked and I think Aarons excited about it and were excited about Aaron, said Capers.

No offense to anyone but I am pretty sure Capers has looked at COACHES tape ( not tv tape )of every player, seen insider reports on those players and he then makes a determaination on how those players will fit into HIS system
So how is it that people still think that Capers is going to place Kamp into a spot he knows wont work?
I don't think that Capers will throw Kampman out there, knowing he can't play, to trade him later on or so. Everyone knows that it doesn't work like that.
How is it though, that Alex Smith, Nr. 1 pick couldn't be starting in the AFL while Matt Hasselbeck, Pick nr. 184 is an all-pro QB. It's not completely comparable, but you get my point.
It's not the fact that he won't be used well, it's just the 'new' part that is somewhat scary. I'm still kind off in the middle on this one. I thought he used strength over speed alot and I can see how that would hurt when having to run those 5 extra yards.
Also, if he's completely one dimentional, we pretty much have three DTs and one DE on the field at all times, which doesn't help alot either. This might be me looking at it the wrong way though.
I would've loved to see KGB come off the other side. He could cover somewhat ok it seemed. He should've worked on the run stopping, but he would've been great. Although I'm drifting off here.
Like I said in my last post, I'm not against Kampman or something. I hope he succeeds and I know he will still be a great contributer, even if his numbers drop, because we'll be playing with 4 D-linemen aswell, but still, I have my doubts.
