Sorry Wils...

I understand the being moved around, but can you honestly say the ones that have replaced Marco or Mike are on the same talent level?

that is an ISSUE that falls on Teds head

Agreed.

Performance is reality. You judge an OL by 2 things:
1) how well they run block,
2) how well they pass protect

Of course dock points if they're always getting penalized.

Anyways, Ted Thompson has had 4 years to fix the OL and hasn't yet.

Count the number of seconds AR has to throw the ball before the pocket collapses. Then count the number of seconds someone like Peyton Manning or Big Ben has. Both examples have more than 1 1/2 seconds than AR. Imagine AR with an extra 1 1/2 seconds.

It's now year #5. Fix the line, Ted.

I think it should be noted that there are a couple of guys on that line from the pre-TT days that contributed in the sacks allowed and penalty area at about the same level as the rest of them.

Secondly, we won more ball games from the middle of '06 thru all '07 than any stretch in the history of this team and Ted Thompson has added to the OL including Sitton who will probably be a starter and a good one.

I just don't see as much room for the amount of critisizm this group is getting here or what Ted Thompson has done to make it better. He's got to look ahead to the OT spot for the future and I think we will see some new blood on board in this draft.

I see Zombie talking about how much time Big Ben gets, have you watched any of the Steeler games? There o-line actually sucks good thing he is built like a LB. Then i saw someone mention that at the time we were 2 million under the cap, but you forgot to mention we were winning. Now we are what 30 million under the cap and what are we doing under TT? Well 2 of 4 really bad years and a over achieving 13 win season and a 500 season. So please tell me what good is it to have all this money if we are not winning?
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Count the number of seconds Aaron Rodgers has to throw the ball before the pocket collapses. Then count the number of seconds someone like Peyton Manning or Big Ben has. Both examples have more than 1 1/2 seconds than Aaron Rodgers. Imagine Aaron Rodgers with an extra 1 1/2 seconds.

Whew. Big Ben is a bad example. Pittsburgh's O-line was horrendous all season, and has been. Ben got blown up game after game. He was sacked 46 times last year, compared to 34 for Rodgers. 47 the year before that. 46 the year before that.

3 terrible years. I wonder if they're getting rid of their GM in Pittsburgh.

Heh.

OK, I admit, probably a bad example. I only watched the SB and Arizona was giving him a lot of time.

over achieving 13 win season

Ok, you admit that. Can you at least see how we definitely underachieved last year? Every break seemed to go against us. Can you see us as a team somewhere between 6-10 and 13-3?

I really dont think our 13-3 team and our last years 6-10 team can be disected by record, both are pretty biased each way. No way were we expected to go 13-3 that year, 10-6 at the best. And last year we went in expecting this miracle year again and reality quickly hit us. I have been fully with ted since he started and love the way he manages most of the time, but i think im jumping on the "this year is a put up or shut up" year for ted and Mike.

Actually for this coming year i am putting them somewhere between 7-9 and 9-7 right now. As far as last year they actually had a better record than i expected i had them i believe at 4-12 or 5-11 i don't remember.

But i really really want to stop hating on Ted Thompson but damn it gets so frustrating when every year its the same thing all over again. But i see i'm not the only one i see people starting to say something better happen this year such as playoffs. Isn't it funny i remember just a few years ago when we expected to to be in the playoffs and our hopes was a Super Bowl and now it's hope we make the playoffs.

Realistically next year i'm expecting 10-6 winning the division. This offense should be potent and although our defense will be on and off learning this new defense, they are still talented and have virtually no tape on them to study.
