That's what frustrated so many fans. He knew it but didn't care. He had a plan for the organization and followed it.

Most top level FA are not worth their contract. I always felt he was an above average GM and he could find the quality FAs that would be worth the investment.

I remember the journey as a fan, seeing greatness materialise fully in 2010. Taught me to stay in my lane when I'm not a subject matter expert and always think bigger and stay steadfast to decisions that may seem unpopular.

RIP, and thank you for the big part played in post Sherman recovery.

I was saddened to hear this. He was a fine scout and by most accounts, a finer human being.

I believe he built more than one SB caliber team. Unfortunately, they only finished with one. The guts he had while dealing with Brett Favre was admirable and others in his position should attempt to emulate.
