Something those who want the Packers to tank might wanna consider.

You don't rest starters against a hated division rival in a battle for the division.

I would like to see Jared Abberederris and Jeff Janis get the bulk of the snaps with all the TE's being active and also John Crockett active too. Our playoff ticket is punched and the more live bullets we can get, the better we have for options.

In regards to letting the Tackles heal more, this is only if Coach uses some extra help to protect the damn quarterback. I don't want Aaron murder killed because of backups.

If we beat the Vikings, and the Seahawks beat Arizona, then we'd be the 3rd seed, Seattle would be the 5th seed and the Vikes would be the 6th seed, based on their head-to-head loss to the Seahawks.

In that scenario we would host the Vikings again in the divisioin round.

Win the game--get another game at Lambeau.

Div Round: Travels to Arizona

GB loses to Vikes:
WC Round: Travels to Washington (Vikes host Seahawks)
Div Round: Travels to Arizona (if Seahawks beat Vikes) OR Travels to Carolina (if Vikes beat Seahawks)

So the answer to the question "Does losing to Vikings create better playoff scenario for Packers?" is NO.

Gotta beat the best, to be the best.

yes I'm drinking as are most of you. That being said, I want to kick everyone in their taco that think the Packers are better off losing the game tonight.

Was it a better playoff scenario? I believe it was. Playing at home rocks, but I think being on the road lowered the pressure that the O has been under.

Playing in 45 degree weather today was preferable to the zero degree day Minnesota and Seattle had to slug it out in today. It sure didn't help Gary An....I mean Blair Walsh make a chip shot FG that would have seen Minnesota to the divisional round.

Let's not sit here and pretend Washington was a legit Super Bowl contender. They were the most competent team in the weakest division in the NFC this year. This was the "cushy" playoff scenario for any potential WC road team to have. After completely embarrassing themselves the last two weeks of the regular season, it was nice to see Green Bay come alive and show they can compete and not just roll over and die like a lot of prognosticators expected them too coming into the playoffs today.

We're playing with house money at this point. Given how we played in W16 and the second half of the season overall, we're going to be underdogs to a pretty complete Arizona team on the road. I don't know if this team has the horses to find their road playoff groove like they did in 2010, but crazier shit has happened. If they can get a little bit healthier, keep Aaron upright better, and do a better job at protecting the football, they've got a shot imo. It's a whole new season come playoff time. There's more pressure on Arizona than Green Bay next Saturday imo. Arizona looked weak with HFA on the line at home against Seattle last week and are going to be under much more pressure to win their first playoff game since their last playoff win against us in '09.

All four road playoffs team won Wild Card weekend for the first time ever. Is it crazy to think this team could be hosting a potential NFFCG as a 5 seed? If they can shock Arizona next weekend and Seattle beats Carolina, they will be. And even if they do lose next week, to me this was the best case scenario because at least they weren't one and done this year. Let's just see how this continues to play out.

To add to what you said RainX, the Vikes (who I think many of us would agree aren't a powerhouse) nearly beat them in AZ. When the Packers were spanked in AZ, the O-line was in much worse shape than it is as of today. Byes have led to rust in the past and you alluded to the pressure.

Don't get me wrong, AZ is not only the favorite, but likely a convincing one. That said, I don't think it's impossible to envision the Packers making a game of this.
