We, the Packers have no control over that pick.
Since you really want to go down this road, we shall.
Part of the issue that many of the posters that defend Brett to the end, is that thread after thread, we properly surmise that the Packers lose as a team, one person doesn't not directly carry the responsibility of the outcome of the team.
But yet, your post with singling out Favre as the sole reason for our value in a pick is dropping directly counters all the proper effort of properly assessing the blame across several different parts of a given team.
Ted does trade down, granted that example is blown out of reality, but there is some evidence to support that Ted may draft backwards in the draft.. would you be shocked if he did?
Personally, I don't support Fred's posts or opinions, and we try to nip the baiting posts out.. I have personally edited 5 of his posts in the past 2 days.. but sorry that I felt your Favre post was over the line in the baiting area as well..
I watched that Buffalo game.. Brett didn't turn the momentum in that game a receiver allowing a perfect pass to bounce off and into the defenders hands did.. the Jets were walking away with and easy one.. up to that point.. they still won, but Brett started his pushing too hard BS post that play and allowed the Bills to stay in it from there..
Back to the point at hand.. I agree with the principle of bringing that Jets pick into the discussion, however to pin it solely on Brett is false. The premise you speak of in the trade terms being set upon a single individual.. Brett met those terms what, in week 10.. the second part of the condition is the success of the team overall.. playoffs or not.. correct?
Damn.. why is it so hard to understand what feeds these trolls and gives them ammo to continue to flame.
