But is that the best scenario for the Packers?
There’s perhaps some sentiment that they might be better off losing to the Vikings. Here’s the thinking by those in that camp: As a wild-card team, the Packers, as the No. 5 seed, would play the fourth-seeded Washington Redskins, champs of the NFC East. If the Redskins lose their regular-season finale at Dallas, they would finish with an 8-8 record.
