It also assumes he's not going to be imprisoned and/or suspended.

Stupid stupid stupid.

He wont be back in Green Bay.

Raji just got another chance to prove himself.

Dumbass!

EDIT: After reading another article he may not be in as much trouble.

Gun was not loaded and in lock box.
He has a permission to carry.

The money has been linked to his Packer paychecks.

The possession charge may be enough that his playing days are over in Green Bay.

I am guilty of jumping to conclusions here.

Will be interesting to see how Ted handles this one.

Is a possession charge enough to not offer him another contract?

Does this mean Guion is not "Packer people?"

Just wondering about the timing of player contracts. When do they end for the year? He is a free agent but is he still considered under contract with the Packers until a certain date. What I am getting at is do we still have to claim him or can we still think that all Packers players are saints.

The good news is if we decide to resign him we won't take as big a cap hit.:drunken:

This might be good capology...plant some weed...call the cops, then...

Pack- "son we're all about 2nd chances but you'll have to play for less"

Player-"but I don't do drugs"

Pack-"I know, just sign here"

Yup. BJ's stock just went WAAAAAY up.

I still don't understand how supposedly intellegent men put themselves into these types of situations with so much on the line. It boggles the mind.
Maybe it stems from not being held accountable for their actions in earlier years. I don't know, for sure. Only guessing.

My parents always taught me that there were consequences if you did the wrong thing. (And there WAS! LOL!)

I hope the best for Guion. I hope he gets his act together before he ends up in the "big house" for the rest of his life.

NFL players should get to use anything that takes the pain away, and it is pretty pathetic of us couch potato fans to question them.

Maybe not all of them can play NT, but some of them can and should be able to. And I'm not sure the Packers are looking for a true NT anyways, as I think they want a guy with some pass rush as well. For true NT Terrance Knighton and Dan Williams might be your guys. I wonder if Stephen Paea might be like another Daniels. And of course there are even more I didn't list.

Also I got to wonder what are the Packers thoughts on the rookie DL. If they saw potential there and if so how much.

I wasn't judging was just making an educated guess of what would happen.

As I said in my edit, the original article was misleading, or maybe I didn't read it close enough.

Again, in the end it is Ted Thompson opinion which will matter.

The fact is I am guessing what he was doing or what he was caught with is against league rules (not to mention the law) . Are we going to all of a sudden be all hypocritical and say it shouldn't matter just because it has now happened to a Packer (not saying that about you Dakota, just that some people will make excuses) No doubt many Packers fans willing to sweep this under the rug would be calling this guy a thug if he played for the Seahawks.

To be honest I'm not sure where I come down on this. If its his first offense and he takes what the law and the league dishes out for punishment I'm all for giving him another chance. If it a 4 game or less suspension his new lower price should off set it. If he was selling or distributing though I may feel a little differently. Like I said using is different than selling.

At the very least the man was very very stupid. I think he just cost himself millions of dollars.

Last point about him saving our season. Weren't you one of those who was basically saying if you don't win the super bowl the season was a waste? If not I apologize but if you were then how can you say he saved our season?

Do you accept the New England Patriots as the best team in the league after we piss throttled them in Lambeau? The score was not indicative of what happened on that field, which seems to be trend with McCarthey coached teams.

Example. I illegally download movies and TV shows IF they're movies and TV shows that friends and family already own. With my home theater setup it's a lot easier to simply stream it off my server over the network. Or watch things on the go. Etc. I'm not taking money away from anybody as it's something I already have free, legal access to.

That being said, if I ever get a nice letter in the mail informing me I'm being sued, that's the result of me doing something I know is illegal. To me, the reward outweighs the risks. If I lose the lottery, that's the risk I took. I don't pretend to know anything about what Guion does in his personal life but I guarantee you I've done a hell of a lot more for people's lives than "basically saving our season", and even if I did save the Packers season and personally deliver a Lombardi trophy to your house, I wouldn't deserve excuses from you.

Personally I doubt, Guion is a distributor. I figure he was planning on throwing some type of party. I've seen stories about players and other celebs with parties where there are bowls full of weed around the house like it was potpourri. But I also don't excuse illegal activity. Let the legal system do its thing, and than the league apply what ever punishment it deems necessary.

Than if Ted and Mike and Mark and the rest of the staff talk to him and determine that they are willing to risk giving him an contract, I will trust their judgment.

The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!
