I bet it was waiting to see how the young guys looked on the field. My guess the addition of RJF and the reported leaps of both Lowry and Clark made it any easier decision. Chances are he'll still be available after his 4 game suspension (if he isn't given additional games his year), if we have a need down the road.

Well....I guess FINALLY there was a consequence to his actions.
The PED's were stupid enough, but to drive drunk? It shows pure stupidity.

Anyone can make a mistake. But he obviously didn't learn a lesson. If you can't depend on the guy, why keep him around?

Agree with this except that if he is not on someone's roster, his suspension does not run.  He would still have to serve his 4 games after signing.  I expect the rest of the season suspension for his DUI.  Packers may have been back door notified which is why he is gone now.
