I was surprised, as he kept saying how much he "loved" the kids on the team.
I guess love does have a price.

Texas... if you thought Andersen a poor in game coach, I wonder what adjective you would apply to Bert the Belly. That guy continues to get his ass handed to him with in game decisions.

He knew what got Wisconsin where it was on offense.

I was at least open-minded about Anderson at first, if not enthusiastic. He did bring Aranda, a damn good D Coordinator with him. He proved to be a stiff, though. He was bent on switching to a read option game; I think Barry told him to forget that bad idea - the primary reason he left for what clearly is a less prestigious job.

Without Anderson's idiocy, we likely would NOT have lost to either LSU or Northwestern, thus wasting the performance of a once in a generation player, Melvin Gordon.

Hopefully, Barry will put a little bit more emphasis on the coach's brain this time. The more I think about it, Bevell might be perfect, especially if he could bring along somebody with expertise about the Seahawk defense.

Whatever your opinion of G.A. may be, the fact that the seniors (as Barry claims) begged him to coach is very telling to me.

Barry gets a nice game day check, while overlooking assistant coaches for the honor (even if only for 1 day). If he has a relationship with the athletes such that they want him to coach, it sure seems to me he's micromanaging the football program and I can't help but think would be contributing factors to the last two coaches leaving.

He's an athletic director of a major college program who is now coaching in a bowl game for the 2nd time. If I were a football coach, hell a coach of ANY other athletic team on that campus I'd be pissed right now.

Apparently the new guy will be PAUL CHRYST! That move has my approval - enthusiastically. Chryst was supposedly the brains behind Bielemma. He is a Wisconsin guy all the way; I would assume this is his dream job, and he will be a long term head coach.

Musccy, you said Barry will be "overlooking" the assistant coaches; I assume you mean "looking over" hahaha. That should give him a shot, at least, at retaining Aranda as D Coordinator.

Overall, the news of the past couple of days is GREAT! - IMO.
