There you go with your hyperbolic garbage again. [whead]

As I said after the 2014 season ended. I wouldn't have been upset if Mike McCarthy and the Green Bay Packers parted ways after 2014. I do think McCarthy is a good coach, but just felt then that it was the right time to move on.

I know, I know, you wanted him gone ten years before that, blah blah, you're so smart!! Blah blah. I get it. You know everything and anything other than 16 - 0 without shutting every team out in the playoffs is DISMAL. I truly enjoy your outside of the box thinking, but just how absolutely obtuse you are makes debating with you so pointless. You neverread to understand, but rather you read to respond.

The fact that I continue to reply to you shows how stupid I am. [smh]

Where's the answers to all the NE questions? They're fair and unanswered.

Aaron Rodgers is a lotto ticket to the playoffs every single season. MM isn't the reason we're there. It's 12. 12 is also the reason we win or lose in the playoffs. See: SB run... See: this year. He's played extremely well or we don't move on. That is how he's supposed to play. He hasn't for many playoff appearances and for that we lose. I once thought MM did the best coaching job ever during the SB run, but if I'm really looking at it, Aaron's play during our run is why we won not some coaching moves by MM. MM did get a severely injured team into the show but he had Rodgers to carry them, too.

Perhaps, one day MM will be fired and hired elsewhere. I can predict right now how it's going to go. MM will be nowhere as successful elsewhere and when he isn't all of his supporters will say it's because he doesn't have the talent with his new team which IS the argument that is being made against him here. He's had two of the best QB's to ever play. I would hope he has a good record and has been to the playoffs a bunch. He just doesn't win enough in the playoffs. See: Aaron Rodgers and our bad defenses. Thanks, Ted.

This might be a good place for this question rather than a separate thread.

Who is the better Coach McCarthy or Capers? Dom patched a defense together and kept it playing for our last SB title and this year again dealing with a ton of injuries he is managing to keep the defense playing. Sure it could be better but that is almost surely a matter of talent more than coaching.

This year might be Mikes best bit of coaching though. I have to give him credit for moving Monty to RB, he could have just said screw it and leave him at WR and just try to get by with just a passing game. That was a great coaching move. But to me he lost something last year when he wasn't able to get the offense past missing Jordy.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

My answer would be is we need much better as they're equally disappointing. If I had to choose, I'd take MM. When he guaranteed IN BIG LETTERS the defense would be better it actually was. Not by leaps and bounds but better from its usual awful. That tells me his influence was needed to push our D toward mediocre from abysmal and Dom alone is disastrous.

However, give Dom some decent players and he can win. Woodson was DPOY and had a couple of fantastic years here at his twilight.

Our GM really needs to be brought into this. He's tried and tried but our D is still as barren as Old Mother Hubbard's cupboard. Hard to win with the lack of talent. So many wasted high picks on this D and he won't spend to cover his misses there. He'll just wing and a prayer it with UDFAs.
