Per TMQ on ESPN:

Sweet 'N' Sour Play No. 1: Maurice Jones-Drew ran a turn-in for a 14-yard touchdown reception, helping Jacksonville retain some dignity by defeating Green Bay. That was sweet. On the play, the Packers had a zone blitz, with defensive end Michael Montgomery dropping into coverage -- Jones-Drew blew past Montgomery like he wasn't there. But what kind of scheme gives a defensive lineman downfield responsibility for a tailback? When a defensive lineman drops into coverage on a zone blitz, usually he backpedals into a slant lane, rather than trying to cover someone man-on-man. Green Bay's defense was sour.

I was never a big fan, and i admit the D was doing very good at a certain point in the season but this is just pathetic...

I think I have read a lot of complaints on this forum that have to do with defensive assignments gone awry. The defensive coaching staff really let us down this year, and that is a good example of it.

Oh....no doubt!
IF we can get some decent D players, and some good O-linemen, we will have a huge year next season.

I personally didn't like Bates system either. I hate bend but don't break defenses. I want to see an attacking gap shootiong defense that trys to disrupt things rather than react to everything.
