Ya!

Brett had another great 4th Quarter Come Back Yesterday. Aaron needs one of these.

Brett had 4 possessions in the Fourth Quarter yesterday. He completed one pass, no touchdowns, and did not get a single first down. But that does not matter. He won.

In the Fourth Quarter the Jet's Defence got three INT's and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.

Aaron needs one of those great comebacks like Brett's yesterday.

Until Aaron can do what Brett did yesterday in the Fourth Quarter Aaron is a loser.

This post is so blatantly irrational, it's tantamount to trolling.

A quarterback who completes a single pass in a quarter does not "win" a game. His team wins in spite of him.

Favre didn't lead that comeback in any sense of the word. Losman gave up a fumble, which the Jets defense recovered, promptly fumbled, then managed to recover again and run it in for a touchdown. Favre, who had tossed two interceptions previously, had nothing to do with it. To say otherwise is preposterous on its face and seriously damages your credibility. There's only so far you can stretch the messianic adulation before it becomes not only ridiculous, but downright risible.

If Rodgers had those identical statistics yesterday and won, no one would be calling him a winner. They would be citing those statistics as proof of how mediocre he is -- of how he has never won a game for his team.

You CAN'T have it both ways, people.

Drivel.. it is sarcasm from RaiderPride.. stirring the pot yes..

RP's making a point.. Brett didn't carry his team yesterday to victory.. he is slapping that into the context of the blaming Rodgers for the Packers problems.

I want to see that from Rodgers yes.. and I agree to this point Rodgers hasn't carried the Packers to a win this season.. played well but didn't win it.

But one can't say he is the reason we have lost.

Brett had that intangible confidence that carried over to his teammates. It's contagious. Rodgers has not gotten that far yet, and maybe he never will. That is something you can't coach..it is a God-given talent that some have and some don't. And that goes for any profession, not just sports.

Until he arrives at that point, I don't think his teammates nor the team will be more than mediocre. If they can get some players around him next year then maybe it will be different, but I think next year is his last shot at it.

Look -- the kid's got some growing to do. This is his first season as a starter in the NFL, and surprisingly enough, he's got more to learn.

But I really don't know if it's just that everybody's tired of complaining about the defense or what, because I really have a problem with the concept that Aaron's not getting the job done. Again, if he leads the team down the field to a score that puts them up late in the game, isn't it on the D to hold that lead?

And when said D goes out and does its best collective matador impersonation and lets the friggin' Jaguars roll down the field like they're last year's Patriots, then it's on Aaron to do it all again?

And if, surprise surprise, he's not quite able to do that, the onus is on him?

Maybe I'll come off as some sort of Rodgers apologist, and I'm not saying he's anywhere near perfect, but I just don't get this criticism. If he'd come out this season and crapped it up that's one thing -- but he's played well, and other than a couple instances I simply can't blame this team's record on him. I just can't.

Of all the things that Brett Favre did well you're trying to say Rodgers needs to be like him in the 4th quarter? Favre is known by most NFL fans as not being very clutch. I think most of you are just saying things like this just to say them. Favre wasn't a very good 4th quarter QB, he was pretty hit or miss.

I apologize for not catching the sarcasm. I had just spent some (ill-advised) time on another Packers forum (http://mbd.scout.com), where they were making that point with dead seriousness, and I overreacted.

Kindly accept a +1 by way of penance.
