... in my opinion, if he does not show something encouraging tomorrow, he'll be cut and the Packers will effort Colt McCoy for a late round pick in 2013's draft.

Disagree.. I do not believe he will be cut.. if anything he will be kept on with an additional QB.

Why?

Because he has two years in the offense and system, they have no one else that is going to be able to walk in and know that offense and be ready within a month.

IMO.. many are scrambling on this kid.. I have little concern about him being able to step in and provide as much as Flynn did in the 2010 season. Look no further than week one of the preseason and his drives in the no huddle type situations.. kid can make most of the throws and can play. IMO of course.

I haven't seen Graham Harrell make most of the throws. I've seen a lot of throws into big windows, but when the window is smaller, its late or off target.

Colt McCoy is better than Graham Harrell, but that said, its unfair to compare since McCoy has started and Harrell has not had that opportunity.

Graham Harrell having only one offseason (e.g. Quarterback school) doesn't do him any favors either, nor does his noodle arm and lack of precision passing when throwing more than 25 yards.

Edit, had to edit this to add QB school as I failed in assuming it was obvious. Ooops!!

IMO Ted Thompson will stand pat, but Harrell's days are numbered. He just doesn't have the arm or accuracy. Too bad I actually like him. It wouldn't be surprising to see Coleman #2 before the year is out, almost certainly by next year.
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

Late May to late-June : Packers hold organized team activities (OTA) and mandatory minicamp. (In recent years, the minicamp has been the final event, in what this year would be the week of June 21.)

Mid- to late-July: Training camps open. (If the schedule holds to recent years, the Packers will open on or around July 31, depending on their preseason schedule.)

2012 there were Minicamps and OTA's.

Plus he spent all last season on the Practice Squad  and 13 games of the 2010 season other there as well. Additionally he was on the active roster for 3 games in 2010 and the postseason.

My point is he has been in this system for 2 plus years.

McCoy is the new savior I guess.. biggest knock on him. Yep Arm Strength. If I was looking to a new project.. I would be plucking Clausen from the Panthers. IMO, he has more to offer than McCoy in the physical tools category.

My only point here is that I don't think Harrell goes anywhere.. I just don't see it happening. May the Packers risk Coleman via waivers and add another option.. that is possible.. but I just don't see them taking the gamble of no Harrell and little to no experience behind Rodgers in this offense.

I think he stays. That's Ted's way and it would take too long to bring somebody else up to speed with the offense. Also, I give him a little (tiny, eensy weensy) break because of the line he has to play behind. Second string OL is POROUS!

What does being in the system (i.e. offense) have to do with the fact he's only had one off season with the Packers? I'll take fault here since I mistakenly assumed we knew why an offseason was beneficial to a quarterback for the Packers, but sure would be nice if you spent more time trying to understand rather than being hell bent on proving me wrong.

I think if Graham Harrell doesn't perform better in game three than he has in the first two games (in other words, progresses positively) he will be in jeporady of being replaced.

beast (11h) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (11h) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (21h) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (21h) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (23h) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you
wpr (22-Jan) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (22-Jan) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : what's so funny?
