I suggest you vote for him again. We'll both get back to the subject in 4 years. My best thinking tells me that this president and this administration is driving this country to an unprecedented complete disaster. Your best thinking doesn't see anything of the sort. Vote for him, elect him, whatever...4 more years of all liberals on the executive side, Reid and his crowd running the Senate, 4 more years af a Maxine Waters and her contemporaries with a major voice.

You just go, girls!

We shall see. I will re-visit this 4 years from now.

I guess some people think it's ok to do whatever you want....as long as you are "sincere".

We have laws for a reason. If you break those laws to be here, shouldn't you be held accountable? Otherwise we may as well just do away with all laws.
And, let's see.......it's 5 months before the presidential election......does anyone other then ME see this for what it really is? Hmmm.....how does Obama guarentee the latino vote for himself......

And as Porforis said, it seems that rich liberals (which there are MANY) are the only ones that don't get attacked for being seen as "rich". You don't think THEY use every tax break available??? And can you BLAME them if they DO?
I'm a republican......and trust me, i'm NOT rich. I guess i must be one of the few that arn't rich. (According to all the "conservative haters" out there).

Alright.. let cut to the chase of this latest turn of this thread. Obama isn't the first president to stretch the laws on the books or worse yet ignore them.

Let's look back to George W. Bush's term for reference.

Each citizen of the United States is to be afforded constitutional rights, except George's tenure decided that shouldn't apply in his term.. they can be just labeled "enemy combatants" and locked up without charges or their day in court.

Blatantly a contradiction of the laws of the constitution.

How about passing laws that basically allows the government to supervise every aspect of our lives.. all in the name of what exactly?

My point is not to belittle GWB anymore than any other politician; especially those residing in the top chair.

This to me, sums it up perfectly. Note the very last sentence.

On March 4, 1793, George Washington stood before the assembled worthies in the Senate chamber in Congress Hall in Philadelphia and delivered his second inaugural address, still the shortest inaugural speech on record:

Fellow citizens: I am again called uponby the voice of my country to executethe functions of its Chief Magistrate. When the occasion proper for it shall arrive, I shall endeavor to express the high sense I entertain of this distinguished honor, and of the confidence which has been reposed in me by the people of united America.

Previous to the execution of any official act of the President, the Constitution requires an oath of office. This oath I amnow about to take, and in your presence:That if it shall be found during my administration of the Government I have in any instance violated willingly or knowingly the injunctions thereof, I may (besides incurring constitutional punishment) be subject to the upbraidings of all who are now witnesses of the present solemn ceremony.

Washingtonā€™s second inaugural is a model of presidential brevity, but it makes an important point. Fidelity to the constitutional oath of office should be a central factor in judgingpresidents; violation of that oath is just grounds for ā€œupbraidingā€ them, and more.Unfortunately, our modern political culture treats the oath of office as little more than a ceremonial exercise.

Source. A decent read IMO.

So lets not pretend Obama is the first president to step upon our constitutional rights. And until we fight back.. whether by vote or other avenue, he will not be the last.

I think close to the entire state of Wisconsin has been completely indoctrinated by the unions and the democratic party since before I was a child in the 50's. I think it has subordinated the entire state's children to a sad state of "HITLER-LIKE" acceptism of the dynamic those teachers and admins chose for the young fools to absorb. There is your Hitler reference.

You Wisconsinites have been totally indoctrinated for at least a half a century, and you don't even friggin' know it.

Friggin' liberal simultaneously arrogant for absolutely no rational reason by any objective criteria provincial bitches. Your law school sucks also, btw. lol, while I'm at it.

It's a fly-over state. You got dairy cows, butter, cheese, the Pack and eccentric people. You got nothin', politically, except a strong rep for being quite whack in the arena. Minnesota makes fun of you because they think they are less fucked up than you are. They are wrong, both are fucked up fly-over states.

Okay, I'm not saying our system is perfect. That's vastly different than saying the system is failing. I think the system can work if it was policed by people with less greed ... be it monetary or power.

Perhaps all we need is to do in the end is eliminate one word in the Constitution -- the "not" in Article II, section 5.

They can't do any worse than the geezers have done over the last 50 years. Sure, they were deluded by B. O. once, but haven't we all done that?

All who think Kevin would make a better Prez than any of the last three, e.g., please raise their hands. Seriously.

I think all you arrogant assholes ought to listen quite harder to the very simple messages that a simple man like Cheesey delivers.

He's far closer to the ultimate truth than you condescending butt-whipes will ever get.

2. Water Street in Eau Claire and State Street in Madison.

3. The Packers.

4. Friday night fish fries.

5. Leinkugel's beer (the original), not the yuppie flavors-of-the-month.

6. More brandy consumption than any other state in the union and any country other than France.

7. Beer tents at local "fairs" and "celebrations".

8. Bowling leagues.

9. "Beer frames" in said bowling leagues.

10. Pickled eggs.

Now, Iowa and Minnesota, those are *flyover* states.
