What if Nick decides to play and the Packers don't want him to. Would they trade him and get something or cut him and get nothing? What might they get if they trade him?

I just had to throw in my 2 cents, it's been awhile and after all it is that time of year for me to start my hating on Ted Thompson again.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Oh I completely agree. In 2010, I thought Peprah's best attribute was his sure tackling, especially his first few games. I remember some beautiful solid form tackling. For whatever reason that I certainly can't explain, he was pretty much horrible in every way last season, in addition to most the secondary. Super Bowl hangover? Slight loss of that "drive" or "hunger" after becoming the champs? I have no idea, but it was horrifying to watch.

If Nick Collins wants to play and the Packers don't want him to, I don't think there is much Nick Collins can do. The Packers would be less than inclined to trade him because it would defeat their reasoning for not wanting him to play. The Packers would love to have a 100% Nick Collins on the field, no question. They sure as hell don't want to see Nick Collins in another uniform, it's not like he's debated retirement for the last six years publicly.

On that basis the only option is to pay him and not play him.
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

I'm really hoping the guy can come back and play, without any further risk. Given the amount of time this is taking, you would think Collins' doctors might have given him a green light. If the light was red, the Packers team physicians would really have nothing further to discuss. Then again, maybe they just need a week to figure out what to do with his retirement. It would be great if he were cleared to play and kept the Green & Gold 36.

Mucky Tundra (17h) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (18h) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (18h) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (18h) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (21h) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Packers coach Matt LaFleur hires Luke Getsy as senior assistant, extends Rich Bisaccia's deal

buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : I forgot, they corrected the call a week later. Lol btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY dhazer!
buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : That brings up the question, why wasn't Nixon down by contact? I think that was the point Kanata was making.

Zero2Cool (24-Jan) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (24-Jan) : I'm going with a combination of the two.

Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.

beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
