Packers D vs the Bears offense.. if they control and limit the effectiveness of Forte in the passing game.. I think we make it a very long day for Cutler.. prissy boy was losing it yesterday with the pressure.. another dose of the same and he might shut it down very early.

The Bears defense is what it is.. a defense that plays cover 2 on the back end and utilizes their linebackers very well. Peppers is a threat up front but Clifton holds his own overall with him. Julius will win a few but won't run wild.. that Cover 2 protects them in the big strike.. but you can work the defense as well.

Personally.. the Bears just aren't a good overall team.. they live and die by the defense.. I like our match up against them.

Cutler can get hot.. but he wilts under pressure.. I expect Capers to apply it early. Personally I love having to face Cutler.. he is predictable in nature. Frail confidence and poise.

We'll get to Cutler. Against the Panthers we were containing, due to Newton's ability to run. Not so with Cutler. That Oline sucks and without Carimi, they can't block anybody.
Look for alot of screens, traps and misdirection. Cutler will get getting rid of the ball FAST.

I hear that with Collins gone the Packers are actually considering bringing that stiff Darrin Sharper back, hell why stop there, why not bring back the good feet spokesman, LEEEEEE ROYYYY Butler also?

Granted, you'll probably cover the number at Chicago, and win the game, but like it or not, your new super qb has just average games against the Bears Defense.

Oh, and don't forget that they all will be playing on arguably the worst playing surface in all of the NFL...

So I'm not giving up yet, I'm just praying for rain....

You sure you're not praying for snow? And reindeer? And a sleigh? And milk and cookies?

I'm sorry. I really am. I couldn't help myself.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

Martz is going to go after Peprah all day,

^this is the key^

deep passes on our FS is going to leave Cutler available to a decent pass rush, AND they are without Carimi which makes this scenario even better for us [aiee]

I'm guessing after Cutler finally goes down for good.

Never saw a teams fanbase "hate" on their own QB as much as Bear fans do.

One thing, nobody can ever call you is a "homer", your predictions are mostly pretty much on the mark.
These games are almost always ugly, getting out of Chicago with any kind of win is enough for me.

Rain? You guys will probably beat us.

I said this before the season started. I HATE playing da Bears in their field with any kind of bad weather. You guys excel in bad weather, whereas, it's our Achilles' Heel.

I'm just glad we're playing @Bears in September and not November or December.

And Grizz - great to see you. Hope your health is holding up amigo.

I'm gonna have to agree with zombieslayer. I don't think the Packers chances are good against the Bears on that field if it's wet. Although, Ryan Grant and James Starks might have a field day. Then again, Bears are usually good at stopping the run. Argh, Packers just score more points and come out healthy!!

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (30-Jan) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Packers coach Matt LaFleur hires Luke Getsy as senior assistant, extends Rich Bisaccia's deal

beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
