If Jones did not think he could be happy with the Packers, he would not have stayed with the team. Although he would prefer to start, as any player would, he kept an open mind and did not burn any bridges. When the big money was not there, he stuck with the team where he knows his role, and he knows that he has a good chance to play a bigger role in the next three years.

My guess is that those two big drops he had in the playoffs cost him millions of dollars.

Wonderful. The WR corps are second to none. Add in the TE and it is a great group of receivers.

Dude on another site was saying he thought JJ's problem comes when he has to make over the shoulder catches. I think that's the main thing with him. Like when he has to come out of his break and catch the ball while turning, all at high speed.
It's something I think he can work on.

I am surprised there wasn’t a bigger market for him. I much rather sign James Jones for a mild deal than break the bank for Sidney Rice. Good for the Packers, though. They know have seven talented pass catchers. D.J. Williams being seventh after the obvious six.

I also think this will allow Randall Cobb to focus more on special teams. There is no way he beats out Driver, Jennings, Jones, or Nelson for playing time.

He could likely be our #2 next year (if Driver retires, Finley and Nelson walk). Nice insurance move by Ted. Now we just needs some ILB insurance and our offseason will be over.

Lofa Tatupu anyone?
